Check in was easy with the online option, we arrived and was greeted at the door by the owner, given keys and tour. They had snacks in the front room if you needed something at night, and the room was great. Very high ceilings and comfortable, we enjoyed restaurants that were very local and within walking distance. We will probably stay again.

I Stayed at the Agora 3/1 thru 3/5/2025, I've stayed here multiple times over the years most often with my wife but this time I was in Maine by myself for a funeral. Staying at the Agora for me is like staying with family, it's always comfortable, clean, and welcoming. I'm originally from Lewiston so getting back home is always a treat. I took this photo from the lawn of the Agora as I was returning to the Inn one evening. Beautiful, staying here is always special.

Very cozy, homey place with hosts who genuinely care and very responsive! It was such a nice gesture to find a folder with everything you need and little stories/intro to the people who host you - very personal and makes a difference!

Host was engaging and knowledgeable. Room was immaculate, and very quiet. My room was air-conditioned, which was very handy in August. I recommend the Agora Inn without reservation.

My parents and I stayed one night here on our way back to VT/MA from Acadia National Park because I was interested in learning more about Lewiston. Billie was incredibly knowledgeable about the town, and she has created a welcoming haven right next to Kennedy Park. We arrived tired at dinnertime, so we ordered in from Tina Thai and enjoyed a quiet evening playing Hygge, one of the many games available for guests (there's also a great collection of books). The guest kitchen is the best stocked I've seen. We spent the next morning exploring downtown Lewiston (easily accessed on foot from the inn), and I took a walk on Bates College Campus on my way out of town.

This Inn is a hidden gem and I stay here every chance I can. Every time has been complete comfort + the luxury of a historic mansion with all its charm in tact. The Kitchen has been tremendously upgraded and the WiFi is very strong. I especially love how so much of the building still has original character from the windows to the walls and ceilings. The owner is down to earth, kind and reliable. I feel lucky to know if it and am a huge fan.

Charming place to stay if you have business in Lewiston or Auburn, Maine. Rooms and common areas have an antique, well-used feel in excellent condition with sensible amenities. Bed was comfortable, WiFi was good. Parking is a bit tight but it's a small Inn and has just enough space. Not the best neighborhood, but on the flip-side I certainly never felt unsafe while walking to local dining. Would stay again if in that area.

The Inn at the Agora is a fabulous treat of a place to stay! This was my 3rd visit to the inn, and it has been wonderful every time. Super clean, very comfortable rooms and bed, hosts who make you feel at home and think of the smallest details to make it perfect: snacks, drinks, local information, games, books, literally anything you could imagine wanting in order to enjoy yourself. For the first part of this trip, I needed to be somewhere a few towns away, but still chose to stay here instead of closer to my destination, just so I could stay at The Inn at the Agora.

We found this room by accident and were completely surprised by it. The rooms were large, very comfortable beds and extremely clean. The neighborhood was a little questionable but once inside the In you felt very secure and cozy. Billy was awesome and incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area. If your travels take you through Lewiston, you have to stay here, you will not be disappointed.
