Camping Solcio

They certainly pack them in here . The pitches are ok depending where you are , they can be easy to get on or off of depending on your neighbour and the size of their van . The setting is very nice but I thought the facilities were inadequate for the number of pitches . We ate at the onsite restaurant which was very nice but a tad expensive.

Second stay at this lovely little site and just as nice as remember. Facilities are good and cleaned several times a day. Take away pizzas from restaurant are very good and reasonably priced. Thank you camping Solcio we will definitely be back.

Overall, we were pleased with the site; right on the beach with access to the lake for paddle boarding, swimming, etc, a great, affordable restaurant and friendly, helpful, English speaking staff. The only thing to let our stay down slightly were the showering/washing facilities which didn't seem ample enough to cope with the volume of campers. The facilities next to the restaurant seemed tired and more dated than those in the main camping area however, the staff did appear to be cleaning as much as possible. Outside the camp, you could hear the bells from the local church which were a lovely reminder of where we were in Italy! There's a good supermarket, 10 minutes walk from the site and Lesa was 25 minutes away on foot too. From here, Belrigate was only 5 minutes further. Both towns had places to eat or stop for a drink and beautiful, lakeside views from the pedestrianised promenade. The bus into Lesa was 2.5E each one way. Stresa - 3.5E During our stay here, we took the hop on/off ferry from Belrigate to the Borromean Islands which cost 43E for the two of us. The lady in the tourist information centre was extremely helpful! Also, we drove to Lake Orta which was amazing and only a 50 minute drive away! All in all, a great base and we would return! We originally booked a 2 night stay and ended up staying for the whole week! Beautiful views over the lake, warm water, and flat calm for paddleboarding - no mosquitos in July. Great restaurant and the reception staff were very helpful in accommodating our request for extra nights. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay 😎

Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans ce camping situé au bord du lac Majeur. L’accueil est particulièrement agréable, nous avons pu choisir notre emplacement. Les installations sont parfaites ! La gare est à 20 minutes à pied, parfait pour rejoindre Stresa sans bouger le véhicule. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Chiens bienvenus (sauf sur la plage du camping).

Camping à taille humaine. Peu d'emplacements mais on a eu la chance de trouver de la place en réservant en juillet pour août. Partis à 2 couples ils se sont décarcassés pour nous trouver 2 emplacements voisins. Merci à eux. Les emplacements sont sous des platanes donc bcp d'ombre avec qq trous de soleil. La plage est tout près avec des transats et parasols. Côté sanitaires il y en a 2. Un en face de la réception( 3 douches, 3 toilettes, 3 toilettes à la turque) l'autre au milieu du camping. Pour la vaisselle seulement aux sanitaires du milieu avec 2 robinets d'eau chaude et les autres eau froide ( 6 ou 8) . Lessive possible au fond dans 1 petit cabanon. 1 congélateur partagé dans ce même cabanon. Pour aller chercher de l'eau faut se déplacer aux sanitaires c'est le seul point pénible , habitués que nous étions à avoir de l'eau tout près. La supérette à l'entrée vend un pain franchement pas terrible( pour un français ) et de l'alcool. Pas grand chose d'autre. Mais un petit supermarché pas trop loin en voiture dans le village de Lesa permet de se supplémenter en à peu près tout. Sinon ambiance tranquille calme et propreté impeccable. Emplacements corrects, pas très grands mais on s'adapte.

Sehr unhöfliche Menschen, die nicht in der Lage sind eine normale respektvolle Kommunikation zu führen. Wenn was nicht richtig läuft wird man angeschrien und mit den übelsten italienischen Schimpfwörtern beleidigt. Nicht nett

Abusé ! Atout prix! Nous nous sommes arrêtés à ce camping en rentrant d’un voyage d’un mois en Italie. Les employées sont très agréables, mais attention la « Patronne » est là ! Le camping étant plein elle nous propose un emplacement sur un terrain vague en dehors du camping sous des sapins morts sur un coussin d’épine. Comme il a plus la nuits nous nous sommes retrouvé dans une flaque de 10 cm d’eau remplis d’épines de sapin! Le lendemain nous avons demandé suite à des départs une place au camping, ce qu’elle à accepté avec difficulté. Nous avons donc occupé une place très petite pour notre camping car dans la boue car toutes les places n’ont pas de séparation et sont dans la terres non stabilisée. Nous n’avons donc pas eu de réduction pour la première nuit horrible sous les sapins mais cerise sur le gâteau 5 Euro pour notre petit chatons qui ne sort pas de notre camping-car !! Donc plus de 40 Euro par nuit pour le pire camping que nous avons eus en Italie. Mais nous avons que notre avis restera sans conséquence car on vous vends le bord lu lac au prix d’or et on se fiche vraiment du touriste.

Siamo stati in questo locale attirati dalla posizione, che è l'unica nota positiva: il ristorante è affacciato sul lago, davvero molto bello. Purtroppo, tutto il resto è stato una delusione. Abbiamo ordinato una Valtellina e un calzone, entrambi imbarazzanti per quel prezzo. La Valtellina non era altro che una margherita con sopra appoggiate tre fettine di speck e un piccolo pezzo di brie. Il calzone era altrettanto deludente per preparazione e presentazione. Oltre a questo, c'è stata una grave disattenzione sul conto, che era sbagliato. Sebbene ci abbiano restituito i soldi dopo la nostra segnalazione, trovo inaccettabile un errore del genere a fronte di prezzi così alti. Pagherei volentieri cifre importanti per una buona pizza, ma qui si paga solo il panorama. Un vero peccato, perché il potenziale del posto è enorme, ma la cucina e la cura verso il cliente sono state bocciate.
