Carayou Hotel & Spa

We don't speak French and felt completely excluded from all the activities. Rooms were dirty, towels and bed smelling bad. Hotel is very old and needs renovation. Food not worth the extremely high price they ask - next day we went to eat out and pad much less and had a delicious meal. We also had a feeling that white people are less welcome or treated differently than black people.

About our stay in Caraiyou… The place is wonderful, green and ”beachy” but the service sucks… We went there for our first night of honeymoon… this was explicitly informed while the booking was done. The lady for the hotel informed that they would prepare a honeymoon service in the room. We also asked for a late checkout so we could rest the day and profit of the swimming pool and the beach (we wanted to pay for it of course) and it was said that we should request that the day we arrived which we had no problem with it… Our arrival date came and as it was our reception party we arrived about 15mins before the last time of checking in… We were received with a cold reception and the receptionist was kind of “lost” on her duties… and as we asked for the late check, she said that she couldn’t do it only her colleague in the morning… we were disappointed, but we trusted that in the next day we could get the desired the check out… Arriving to the room… we’ve noticed NO HONEYMOON SERVICE!! 😒😡😤 We started verifying the room and everything is old and outdated, the air conditioning has water drop… ahh and we’ve asked for a sea view and we got a glimpse of it in the corner of the balcony🙄 Next day, we woke up early, as the breakfast os only until 09:30 and no room service option to take it in bed… after breakfast, I’ve headed to the reception to ask for the late checkout, for my surprise the receptionist said : if you’d asked earlier… 😳 an I’ve said, that we did while doing the booking, receptionist said that they were full and that they could only give us 1:30 more… 😓 The disappointment was so that we left earlier… In my opinion, the hotel has a lot of good assets that are not being used… the employees need to have a training how to well receive guests, how to sell their services. Also I’ve felt a little deceived as I would prefer that it was said to me right away that there was no late checkouts and I would maybe decide to go somewhere else… Important to say that there is also the need of modernization of services, it’s like they’ve stayed in the 80s which is not very attractive…old decoration, old furniture, linens ants in the bedroom..😬🙄😕. Maybe if you are coming on vacations it will not be as bad… but in Martinique there are a lot of other very nice hotels, less expensive and with an impeccable service! Where you can happily have your deserved vacation! If you don’t want to be disappointed, don’t choose Carayou Hotel & Spa !

Rooms are spread over a large area of tropical gardens, with plants identified with markers for those interested. Rooms are large and comfortable, but there is no coffee available in the rooms. Meals are served buffet style in a large hall, with breakfast included, but other meals for additional but reasonable cost. Lots of choices on the menu. There is a small beach, and two pools. A catamaran offering cruises docks at the hotel. A marina nearby has a number of restaurants and shops, and is the place to catch a boat to Fort de France in place of a cab, and for a much lower price. The guests are mostly French.

Superbe sejour… Hôtel en rénovation il est vrai..mais reste agreable.. Super bien situé…vous avez tout à proximité..( navette pour aller a fort de france, restaurant extérieur ,Bar ,glacier etc.. Et aussi de superbe plage de sable blanc juste à côté Le personnel de l’hôtel est gentil Belle accueil les antillais sont très chaleureux.. Mention spécial pour le Barman Gregory qui à toujours le sourire et toujours de bonne humeur..il donne de sérieux conseil sur quoi faire durant le séjour et conseil aussi sur les différents lieux incontournable à visiter en Martinique. N’hésitez pas a le consulter c’est un plus pour le séjour.. L’hôtel malgres les travaux reste propre et fonctionnelle.. La coté restauration reste convenable.. De la diversité chaque jours Rapport qualité prix très bien..

Actuellement à l hôtel. Personnel,agréable et très gentil au petit soin.la chambre de 25 mètre carré et suffisante pour 2 personnes. Toilette séparé. Salle de bain spacieuse. + clim... Repas excellent, matin,midi,soir. Hôtel très propre. Cadre magnifique à côté de la mer. Avec 2 piscines. Petit village créole à la sortie de l'hôtel Avec toutes commodités. Marina a côté de l hôtel avec divers excursions et ballades en mer. Pour les personnes qui veulent venir ne restez pas sur les avis négatifs... Je reviendrai.....Pas de soucis François

Hôtel situé près du village des 3 ilets, à l'anse mitant. Acceuil sympathique. Chambres confortables et correctement équipées mais un peu vieillottes. Le restaurant buffet est correct sans plus. Les produits proposés sont simples et correctement préparés. Idem pour le buffet petit-déjeuner. Seul bémol durant notre séjour : le bar.... Acceuil très moyen (on a la fâcheuse impression d'embêter le barman...). Choix trés restreint pour les all inclusive : bière, rhum, soda et cocktail du jour. Oubliez mojito ou cacahuètes ou autre pour l'apéro....trop compliqué. Bref, Hôtel bien situé pour explorer cette superbe Martinique.

Hôtel à fuir! Le pire de mes séjours en all inclusive !La restauration médiocre. Hôtel délabré et bruyant, pas de frigo,champignon dans la douche, prises de courant défectueuse ,pas de restauration dans la journée.Climatisation sale et bruyante.

Mon pire séjour en all inclusive. Des travaux très lourds dont les répercussions sont ressenties dans tout l'hôtel, réfection de la toiture, des chambres, ravalement, entretien des arbres, karcher. Que ce soit sur la plage ou à la piscine zen le repos est impossible. La nourriture n'est pas à la hauteur ni dans le choix ni dans la présentation. Le restaurant est bruyant et ressemble davantage à une cantine. Les chambres sont vieillissantes et sales. Pas de réfrigérateur ! ! 1 bouteille d'eau pour 2 pour 15 jours !! La climatisation est bruyante et fuyarde. Bref cet hôtel n'est plus à la page et aurait dû fermé le temps des travaux plutôt que de faire subir ces nuisances aux clients qui viennent s'y reposer ! A fuir.

A éviter ! La Martinique est belle, ne gâchait pas votre séjour. Grande déception avec le choix de cette établissement ! Depuis notre arrivée, nous avons de l’eau de de manière sporadique et quand elle est là elle n’est pas toujours chaude ! Je peux comprendre qu’une canalisation casse mais dans ce cas cela s’explique et on communique des horaires de coupure, on explique que cela peut prendre du temps etc et on ne dit pas ça va revenir sans respecter des informations données ! La nourriture n’est pas non plus à la hauteur. Très moyen ce que l’on trouve dans l’assiette ! Donc en résumé, l’hôtel Carayou est bien situé mais tant qu’une rénovation de fond ne sera pas faite, je recommande de passer son chemin et c’est dommage car il y a du potentiel pour que les clients passent un séjour inoubliable !
