Carayou Hotel & Spa

About our stay in Caraiyou… The place is wonderful, green and ”beachy” but the service sucks… We went there for our first night of honeymoon… this was explicitly informed while the booking was done. The lady for the hotel informed that they would prepare a honeymoon service in the room. We also asked for a late checkout so we could rest the day and profit of the swimming pool and the beach (we wanted to pay for it of course) and it was said that we should request that the day we arrived which we had no problem with it… Our arrival date came and as it was our reception party we arrived about 15mins before the last time of checking in… We were received with a cold reception and the receptionist was kind of “lost” on her duties… and as we asked for the late check, she said that she couldn’t do it only her colleague in the morning… we were disappointed, but we trusted that in the next day we could get the desired the check out… Arriving to the room… we’ve noticed NO HONEYMOON SERVICE!! 😒😡😤 We started verifying the room and everything is old and outdated, the air conditioning has water drop… ahh and we’ve asked for a sea view and we got a glimpse of it in the corner of the balcony🙄 Next day, we woke up early, as the breakfast os only until 09:30 and no room service option to take it in bed… after breakfast, I’ve headed to the reception to ask for the late checkout, for my surprise the receptionist said : if you’d asked earlier… 😳 an I’ve said, that we did while doing the booking, receptionist said that they were full and that they could only give us 1:30 more… 😓 The disappointment was so that we left earlier… In my opinion, the hotel has a lot of good assets that are not being used… the employees need to have a training how to well receive guests, how to sell their services. Also I’ve felt a little deceived as I would prefer that it was said to me right away that there was no late checkouts and I would maybe decide to go somewhere else… Important to say that there is also the need of modernization of services, it’s like they’ve stayed in the 80s which is not very attractive…old decoration, old furniture, linens ants in the bedroom..😬🙄😕. Maybe if you are coming on vacations it will not be as bad… but in Martinique there are a lot of other very nice hotels, less expensive and with an impeccable service! Where you can happily have your deserved vacation! If you don’t want to be disappointed, don’t choose Carayou Hotel & Spa !

Rooms are spread over a large area of tropical gardens, with plants identified with markers for those interested. Rooms are large and comfortable, but there is no coffee available in the rooms. Meals are served buffet style in a large hall, with breakfast included, but other meals for additional but reasonable cost. Lots of choices on the menu. There is a small beach, and two pools. A catamaran offering cruises docks at the hotel. A marina nearby has a number of restaurants and shops, and is the place to catch a boat to Fort de France in place of a cab, and for a much lower price. The guests are mostly French.

Une appréciation globale : très satisfaisante ( une bouffée d'exotisme est la meilleure thérapie contre le moral dans les savates même si on habite en occitanie. Je suis revenue aux Antilles où l'on est très bien accueilli (culture locale, cuisine locale, environnement tropical : la mer .....). Tout est parfait en terme de services a l'hôtel.

Hôtel bien situé, à proximité de la mer, des commerces et de la marina pour rejoindre Fort-de-France. Une équipe d'animateurs disponible et qui met de l'ambiance. Le personnel de l'hôtel est toujours très agréable et reste à l'écoute. De nombreuses sorties sont possibles comme celle en catamaran en direction du rocher du diamant et la plongée afin d'explorer les fonds marins. La sortie en 4 x 4 pour la découverte de la forêt tropicale et la visite d'une distillerie est à recommander également La chambre est conviviale et agréable. Les repas sont corrects. J'ai été très satisfait de l'organisation du repas du 24 décembre 2024 : apéritif pris en extérieur et repas avec le spectacle créé par les animateurs. Je recommande grandement la Martinique et l'hôtel Carayou.

Hotel restauration bar Carayou Club lookea séjour en couple 2 semaines en tout inclus fin novembre 2024. Les animateurs sont compétents, souriant et mérite un grand merci car ils sauvent le séjour. Superbe animation avec Coco Lisa Lena Estelle Rimz Superbe excursion cata nord et sud proposé par Franck et en guide Patrice pour marché Sud Josephine fond blanc à faire mais sans plus Visite 4x4 Superbe avec hiler Sinon Hotel vieillissant Peu d'entretien transat piscine sale et mauvais état 3 parasols pour 2 piscines Chambre désastreuse ne correspond pas à une qualité 3 * Salle de bain rouillée Porte difficile à fermer retrouvée deux fois ouvertes durant le séjour. Poignée en piteuse état. Réception TV très mauvaise. Deux prises de courant seulement. Restauration peu savoureuse classique durant les 15 jours pas d'accras de morue. La bouteille de rosé est de mauvais gout. Le personnel est agréable et ne peux que subir les directives d'une direction qui n'est plus à la hauteur. A savoir chambre en cours de rénovation de mai à novembre sur deux périodes 2024 et 2025 mais le prix va augmenter donc rapport qualité-prix non cohérent. 5100 euros pour ce séjour gâché et trop cher Fuyez l'hôtel mais par contre la Martinique et ses habitants sont merveilleux

Voilà deux séjours passés dans au carayou et on adore. Chambres confortables et propres même si un peu vieillottes. La nourriture est variée avec beaucoup de choix. Le bar est extra et offre un assortiment de cocktails et de rhums. Le personnel est très sympa, nous aimons ce lieu!!!
