We stayed in the Roald Dahl room on May 11-13. There wasn't any theming other than a painting of the author. Use your smartphone to unlock doors. There was no elevator, so prepare to climb narrow, winding stairs. Pros - location, spacious, big bed, temperature control, soft toilet paper, hot water and good water pressure in shower, window shutters Cons - street noise, broken toilet paper holder, no shelf in shower, no hand towel, no elevator

Stayed with friends and booked 3 large rooms/ apartments. They were all lovely. Very central . Stairs could be difficult for those with mobility challenges but they were absolutely fine for us and added to the uniqueness of the building.

This is low budget sleeping place that the owner called boutique hotel or small hotel in the centre of Leiden for high price of per night. This sleeping place that somebody called hotel even did not have life even the proper safe stairs leading to the rooms upstairs. The stairs are very steep and are not safe for even young people, there is no evacuation route in case of fire. The windows in the rooms are made cheap, single glass windows that make the room cold and windy. The air-co is not strong enough to heat up the room so it is called. There is nobody to help you to get to the room through the steep planks covered with carpet that are not stable called stairs. There is no rail on the side, so if you slipped you are in trouble. The lady And this place is called hotel. In the hotel the crew are there to help you as a person and you are treated as a person. In the boutique hotel CTY books hotel in the centre of the Leiden you nobody, just simply nobody. The owner is happy if you pay 140 Euros per night for this sleeping place. Do not go there if you older than 35 years old and do not want to have your leg injured.Of course the show page of the hotel looks fantastic, reality is not. Of course there in no word about the stairs and the cold rooms on the internet page. The room is spacious but called an dark, even there is no hook in the bathroom to hang wet towels? This was my worst experience with the hotels.

Hier overnacht. Mooie ruime kamer in prachtig oud pand. Er is geen personeel aanwezig maar instructie vooraf hoe binnen te komen prima. Heel eenvoudig met schuifje op de telefoon. Mijn kamer, nr. 4 aan de achterkant. Heel ruim opgezet. Je hoort wel het lawaai van de kroegen en terrassen.
