Premier Inn Leicester City Centre

The location is perfect but the room standard is varied. Couple months back I stayed in the renovated room without bath but shower. I wanted to the same type of room this time but I was put into a disable room which had some very strong chemical smell and the bathroom conditions was really bad with mould and colour. Tried to change room but was not allowed. They said they could only move me to another disable room even I paid the same price for the renovated room.

I stayed here for a couple of nights in Leicester for a social event. The hotel itself is next to the station with parking being underneath, when I arrived on a Friday afternoon at around 15:30 there was plenty of parking available. Parking is discounted for hotel residents but make sure you enter the discount code which is stuck to the machine to gain the special rate. Used the self check-in which was quick and hassle free. I was on the 11th floor with a decent view of the city centre. The room was the usual Premier Inn affair with free tea / coffee and was clean with a nice shower pressure. I would have rated this 5/5 except for the following: - The 2 x lifts do not ‘talk’ to each other so operate on 2 x separate call buttons. This means everyone (including myself) presses both lifts to see which one will arrive first but this has the downside of stopping at every floor it is pressed. Only 1 of the 2 lifts accesses the car park so be prepared for a long wait during busy times. - The free internet speed is woeful to the point of being unusable in the modern world. - The bedroom windows do not open and it got very warm during the night. Despite the above, I would stay again if the price was right which is an ongoing challenge within the city centre.
