Headingley Lodge

Eventually helpful in reception but initially denied my reservation which was unhelpful. Polite and welcoming otherwise. Noisy over night in corridors with selfish guests slamming doors late at night returning from their nights out! Bed was comfortable disappointing not to allowed out onto my balcony like at other cricket grounds with hotels on site. Shower was good tea coffee biscuits etc all provided.

No bar we left our room at 09.00am came back at 16/00 Hrs and we had to go to reception and ask that our room be made up very poor. Would not stay again, and it was not cheap at almost £200 for 2 nights

Friendly staff. Lovely big room. Very comfortable bed. Superb shower. Amazing view of the ground in the morning. Very handy for cricket, RL, the Brudenell and Hyde Park Picture House. Plenty of pubs nearby and not far from Leeds’ hidden secret - Lupe’s Mexican Cantina

Great location for watching Yorkshire cricket, and easy walking to Headingley pubs and local shops. Reception staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Comfortable rooms with great views of cricket pitch and useful fridge and kettle.

My wife and I had another 2 night stay at the Headingley Lodge Hotel when we visited our family in Leeds. The rooms are clean and tidy with a view over the Cricket Field. A lift to all floors and gated security for car parking right outside the Hotel.

I stayed here two nights as i was seeing Manic Street Preachers and Suede in Leeds on the Saturday night. A nice big room with a great view of the cricket ground. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom was large and clean. The bed was comfy.

Once again we stayed at the lodge and again it was a pleasure to stay, clean tidy and easy to check in with safe parking only a couple of minutes past the rugby stadium. The Staff as always very friendly and helpful and the price is very competitive.

Despite advertising that every room has a view of the cricket ground they fail to mention on their website that all rooms are booked out for hospitality during international matches!!! I booked our room 18 months in advance after checking that I would have a view of the pitch only to have it cancelled when it was too late to buy separate tickets for the cricket which was sold out

We booked 2 nights there as it was the nearest to a nearby wedding we where attending. Not aware of the rugby match on arrival, and had to wait nearby whilst the road opened up. An email beforehand about it being a match day would have been useful. Room was okay, and first night sleep was good. When we first used the shower, nost of the water went under the door and flooded the bedroom, the water went under the bed and the full width. Thankfully staff knocked to check as water had leaked to the room below, got told to pack up and we'd be moved rooms. However 30 minutes later we had to go to reception as no one had come bacm. Then had to explain again why we needed the room change now and a room change in a few hours was not workable. Only found out at hotel that car park is only open from 6am to midnight. Once moved rooms, second night was okay. Generally is an okay hotel but it I'd a lucky dip if your gonna have a bad experience or not. Unfortunately we had a bad time and the view of a cricket pitch is not enough.
