A piece of haven on Earth, placed in the middle of an olive garden.The perfect combination of nature and modern life style.Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming that we felt like we were guests in our friends/relatives home.Absolutely delicious food and good quality drinks, mostly their own products.Many thanks to Serena for helping us with the booking and making for us the best programme for every day of our stay.Thank you to Senior Giuseppe( the owner )and his lovely wife for their warm hospitality.And special thanks to Mino for his great service,also to Jessica and Giacomo.Definitely One of the few places I would love to visit again!

The setting is beautiful with a lovely pool. The rooms are spacious and clean. We did end up staying in a separate building which did mean a 5 min walk to restaurant and pool along a reasonably well lit path. Food was good with very friendly and helpful waiting staff, if a little overpriced. On arrival it seemed there was nobody around - it was very very quiet.

courtesy, beauty and kindness are the main ingredients of this splendid place located in a fantastic green. The clean and spacious rooms, the courteous and helpful pool staff, the excellent restaurant in every dish. competence and professionalism of the reception, Serena prepared, extremely kind and available at any time of the day and very very professional. Her advice for the sea and the beach was really precise. We felt pampered to the point that I didn't want to leave. Tenuta Monacelli is truly a beautiful experience to be repeated because it feels great.

This venue incorporates 2 adjacent properties and seems to excel at arranging celebratory events but, as 'private' guests we did not find this an imposition. We received a warm welcome on arrival but saw little of the management thereafter. The grounds are extensive, although many of the olive trees were wiped out a few years ago by a disease which swept through much of the countryside, but it is making a gradual recovery. Our room was in the old building and was furnished in keeping with the age of it but it was only accessible via a fairly steep flight of stairs, as was our private terrace, so, if you have any mobility issues, it would be best avoided. The door into the capacious bathroom was very creaky which added in some ways to the atmosphere, but it was a bit disturbing if you needed to use the toilet in the middle of the night. There is a lovely pool with sun loungers around it but, just like our private terrace, there are no parasols to provide some relief from the blazing sun. The restaurant where we ate in the evening - the location is some way out of Lecce, so not a good prospect for night driving - has a very good menu and food we ate their was of a high quality. The serving staff did a great job of balancing the needs of the private diners against those of the celebration parties and the service was courteous and efficient. Breakfast was served indoors and was, like most of the hotels we stayed in on our visit to Puglia, a self-service affair with a good variety of items, mainly sweet, on offer. This was a pleasant and interesting place for a short stay but perhaps not so much for a long-term visit.

We just returned from our Puglian holiday (1week). We stayed few days in Matera, Alberobello & Tenuta Monicelli. Tenuta Monicelli was our final destination. As a family of 3 (2adult + 1 teenager) we really look forward to or 4 nights stay! First of all when you search for info about properties, they have quiet high rating, marketing photos are pretty accurate and that's where you will be trapped. This property is a wedding camp. Thats where all the main focus goes. They kind of hide the primary function of this place. We got lucky having rented car. We was just kept moving around the area, exploring it. I didn't really wanted to stay and enjoyed the beauty of the area. I felt no one cared about us there. Its just you and surrounded area. I would love to underline: I can't say they were impolite. They did smiled. But it didn't solve my doubt I choose the wrong base for my family. Something is really off with this place. THE BREAKFAST: very poor. No buffalo, no mozzarella, no local cheese. it's just plain boring intercontinental food. Coffee? Whats wrong with your coffee? it simple awful. THE ROOM: we stayed inside main building (close to reception, swimming pool and breakfast area). Its and old stable ( I mean it). I would suggest to avoid this location. And try to book a room further down (yes, you walk a little bit, but room are more nit there. Our room was SUPERIOR triple, really? is that the best you can do for Superior? it just classic none rated room, in bad condition. its not well kept, yes its clean, but made with bad taste. Bath room is terrible. Old shower where you need some time to open and close the door. the water 2 mornings was simply warm and not hot. The heating battery didn't work (we couldn't dry our towels). The door into bathroom has old creepy sound, my husband used my body oil to fix it. If you look at their website, you see a place with history. But, no one spend time with us talking about it. All you need is to discover everything yourself. Just wonder around and get lost. hmmm... But when evening arrives, comes the bride and the groom and the service begins! I felt pretty bad, they do so much for the weddings and almost nothing for the traveller. In beginning of my review I mentioned I stayed in Matera and Alberobello. I payed less for a night than at T Monacelli, But what a SERVICE we got out there!!! My nerve system had enough after 2 nights. I couldn't get my money back due to hotel policy. Fine. humiliate money but not yourself. I booked last 2 nights in Bari and enjoyed our final stay in Puglia. You won't believe how relief we were getting out of this location. I would suggest families who travel with kids be aware of that place. Just study location, read reviews (all of it), don't miss anything and than make decision, as you can fall into expensive mistake, if you decide to stay here for more than 2 nights. È il secondo anno che io e mia moglie scegliamo di soggiornare in questa splendida masseria e non potremmo esserne più felici. Immersa nel verde degli ulivi secolari, Tenuta Monacelli regala un paesaggio rilassante e rigenerante. Il personale è estremamente competente e gentilissimo. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Mino della ristorazione e a Sara della reception che con la loro professionalità e cortesia ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa, curando con attenzione ogni piccolo dettaglio. La cucina è di altissimo livello, anche i nostri ospiti, venuti a cena una sera, sono rimasti entusiasti della qualità e dell'atmosfera. La posizione della masseria è perfetta, a pochi minuti dalle più belle spiagge del Salento e da tante località di interesse culturale e paesaggistico. La nostra stanza era spaziosa, pulitissima e fresca. Tutto al top! Consigliamo vivamente questa struttura a chi cerca relax, autenticità e alta qualità. E anche noi... ci torneremo sicuramente!

Siamo stati benissimo accolti e coccolati dal personale molto competente in particolare jessica e mino. Abbiamo trascorso una giornata immersi nei suoni della natura assaporando dell'ottimo cibo. Ritorneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo

Sono stato in questa tenuta per un corso. La stanza è stata prenotata dalla organizzazione. Sono andato sul sito per rendermi conto della location che appariva interessante e con buoni giudizi. Il mio è certamente controcorrente. Già per raggiungere il luogo non è stato semplicissimo perché, non essendo del posto, ritrovare la Tenuta nella campagna pugliese senza un numero che la individuasse in una strada lunga una decina di km non è stato facile. La stanza molto grande con doccia, water e spogliatoio separati tra loro, ma con un tanfo di chiuso e umidità certamente non piacevole. All'arrivo non presenti indicazioni per la reception. Un inserviente mi ha ventotto alla stanza senza chiedere i documenti. Per il ristorante, che ha un ingresso visibile dall'esterno , ma molti meno dal cortice interno, tutto è lasciato all'intuito. C'è sul sito la foto di una bella e grande piscina. Peccato che dopo aver circumnavigato la struttura passando su un bel prato curato, sia risultata desolatamente priva di acqua. Magari un cartello dove c'è la indicazione "pool" poteva evitare una inutile passeggiata! In bagno presentecsolo un saponetta. Nella doccia una cuffia. Due stelle e mezzo sono piu' che sufficienti. Per fortuna avevo per la piscina che ho utilizzato come pantofole Sono contento solo che il conto non lo pagherò io!

Semplicemente fantastica. Posto incredibilmente bello. Cucina ottima ed uno special per la chef Patrizia che ha preparato dei piatti a dire poco eccellenti. Ambiente accogliente in tutto con un giardino e camere bellissime. Lo consigliamo assolutamente.

Une parenthèse hors du temps, c’est beau, calme, bien situé, accueillant, bonne literie, chambre numéro 4 spacieuse et confortable, un espace piscine et un jardin magnifiques, un stop de deux nuits dans un lieu comme on les aime. Nous recommandons cet hôtel nous en garderons un joli souvenir.

Wij verbleven hier voor onze huwelijksreis. We kregen een gratis upgrade van een normale kamer naar een suite met eigen dakterras en hebben heerlijk genoten van het eten, het zwembad en de vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Het klimaat op de kamer was fijn en het hele complex is prachtig gelegen en aangelegd. Het en der kan het wel wat onderhoud gebruiken (vooral het zwembad) maar dat mag de pret echt niet drukken.

Nous avons passé un couple de jours , tout est super, la chambre, la piscine et le restaurant vraiment ce n'est que du bonheur, sans oublier l'accueil chaleureux de Serena et de sa gentillesse. Merci encore, lors de notre prochain passage, notre séjour sera plus long.
