Stayed for 3 nights in le cottage.....booked for 2 adults and 2 children with breakfast included.. arrived from canada- exhausted with time change and driving in Paris traffic... was greeted by the husband.. was lovely.. kind and welcoming..toured the cottage and property.. amazing.. got into the cottage and asked 'when was breakfast?'.. he proceeded to say ' was not included and would have to pay,.. I pulled out my hardcopy reservation and showed him, my copy, it was paid through bookings/priceline... he looked at it and said... 'he deals with airbnb', showed me the airbnb listing.... I was a little confused- as I paid through another 3rd party, bookings/priceline confirmed everything and transfer of my reservation.. and said his english was not good.. .. I was tired at this point and only paid for the breakfast through bookings/priceline for my children.. I gave him the hardcopy reservation and said he would look into this... I was really sad about the situation and there is no stores,food,market to walk too and pretty much made to buy again at le domaine... I did not want to get upset and my husband got back in his car and went to find a store....FYI.. grocery stores close at 8pm... and we arrived at 730pm... (we really don't know the area-scrambled to find something for the kids -food for the morning) The next morning, saw other guests walking into the main building for breakfast... .. We had paid a premium for le cottage and breakfast... my husband and I don't eat breakfast... just for our children I did not want to give this place a 3star and lower the rating of a small business as I support small business and building success the grounds,pool,room was lovely... lovely! As I gave the owner the hardcopy confirmation-when I check-in... for him to 'look into'....he did not..heard nothing back and pretty much when I checked out... paid my VAT tax and the bottle of wine we bought from them.. and did not get a 'sorry', refund for the paid breakfasts or an explaination
