Camping Spiaggia d'Oro

I honestly don’t know where the people who left negative reviews below stayed but it can’t have been at Camping Spiaggia D’Oro because it was fantastic! My husband and I never go back anywhere twice and we’re seriously tempted with this park because of how welcome we were made to feel and the exceptional facilities and location. I’ll start off by saying that we were staying in one of the garden villas about half way down the camp by the shop -we were never once bothered by the noise from the road or the bikes but appreciate we were a bit lower down – perhaps just request a property near the beach end if this worries you. I had looked at the property map and had requested a particular number of the type of property we were staying and the campsite made sure we go this so worth doing. We arrived 4 hours ahead of check in but were checked in straight away without any issues and told the property was already ready. The staff were really efficient and everyone here is so friendly. The villa was spotless – more so than anywhere else I’ve ever stayed in Europe. Great space and it was lovely we had our own garden area. The pool was absolutely perfect for us as we had a lively 3.5 year old who couldn’t wait to explore the slides! Plenty of loungers (none reserved and we were there at the end of June/early July so getting into high season), we always managed to find a space. Life guard presence was constant and very much appreciated – they towed a good line between ensuring safety but also allowing children to play games and jump in etc. No swimming caps needed. Pool party on the Thursday was good fun. The view from the campsite onto the lake is stunning, if you can have a drink of dinner at the sunset lounge as the sun goes down – it is breath taking. It was lovely to have the lake there as a different option to explore. We even hired a speedboat for an hour at a place just left of the camp entrance and it was the best afternoon. Also 15 minutes walk along the beach and down a path and you’re in the centre of Lazise which is so pretty and perfect for exploring. We also took the bus to Bardalino from the stop oppositive the entrance which was really simple to use and air conditioned. Both entrances have a constant presence checking wristbands which made us feel very safe. Don’t hesitate to go, this place is a rare find!

We had a fantastic time at Spiaggia D'Oro. The pools are brilliant, our four kids aged 4-11 loved them. Animation team are really friendly and make lots of effort to ensure the kids are all having fun. The shop is really well stocked and not as expensive as you might expect. The site overall is really well kept, with lots of plants and flowers. We loved the location and the ability to walk to Lazise, which is a beautiful town. And of course, you are right on the lake, which is perfect for paddleboarding, swimming and sunsets. The only thing I would say is that we stayed in a Maxicaravan Premium and I'm not sure it truly is 'premium'. Although new, it felt very basic and not very well equipped. Felt flimsy, it shook ever time someone walked and there was not enough storage or crockery. Also, we went in the off season when it was quiet and most of the caravans seemed unoccupied and it still felt busy - I can't imagine how packed it must be in the summer so we would definitely avoid it in July and August. Overall, we had a great holiday and would recommend Spiaggia D'Oro, I just don't think it's worth paying for the Maxicaravan Premium.

Great and beautiful camping! The camping looks nice and has beautiful swimming pools. The lake is also attached to the camping, so easy access. They have 3 pools close to each other, 1 for kids, 1 for adults where you can bring a ball etc. And 1 for adults without a ball etc. Another thing which I really liked, was the effort the lifeguards took, to close the beds at the pool when there was no one there. After an hour or so they make another round and remove the towels, so it becomes available again. We were with a group of 4 people and never had to search longer than 5 minutes to find 4 beds! The airconditioning in our maxicaravan worked perfectly and the parking area for the car was big enough. The cleaning could be a little better, but it was clean enough for our taste.

Die Ankunft war bereits etwas holprig, der uns zugewiesene Standartplatz war leider nicht groß genug für unseren Wohnwagen (Hobby 495UL), also kein extra großer Wohnwagen sondern Standart. Die Qualität der Plätze für Mitte Mai eine Katastrophe, wir konnten den Wohnwagen nichtmal mit einem Auffahrkeil ordentlich austarieren und das obwohl wir am Ende aufgezahlt und einen VIP Torino Platz genommen haben. Die Kinderbetreuung ist sehr gut, die Animateure net, sprechen zum großen Teil Deutsch. Swimmingpool recht klein aber in Ordnung mit drei großen und mehre kleiner Rutschen. Ein Becken ist in der Nebensaison beheizt. Die Sanitäranlagen sind zum Großteil modernisiert und stets sauber.

Unsere Freunde waren bereits Vorort, wir waren auf der Durchreise und wollten eine Nacht auf demselben Campingplatz verbringen. Angekommen bei der Rezeption haben wir um einen Stellplatz in der Nähe zu unseren Freunden gefragt, der am nächsten war hätte uns 150€ die Nacht gekostet und einer der sehr weit weck war 80€. Wir fragten ob wir auf ihren Stellplatz dürfen, das wurde abgewiesen. Sie haben ein Auto mit Dachzelt und wir einen VW Bus. Ich Frage mich nur warum, viele andere haben einen riesen Camper und dazu ein Auto, haben aber auch nur einen Stellplatz.

Sanitäranlagen meist sauber, das Restaurant liefert gutes Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen – so weit, so gut. Aber die Nächte auf diesem Platz sind der absolute Horror. Von Ruhe keine Spur. Direkt an einer stark befahrenen Straße gelegen, donnern Motorräder im Minutentakt vorbei – 24 laute Maschinen allein in einer Nacht gezählt, bis um 3 Uhr morgens. Dazu kommt der Lärm auf dem Platz selbst: Menschen laufen laut redend bis weit nach Mitternacht herum, als gäbe es keine Nachtruhe. Und genau das ist das Problem – es gibt keine. Kein Wachpersonal, keine Kontrollen, keine Rücksicht. Im Gegensatz zu Camping La Quercia, wo ab 23 Uhr Ruhe herrscht und Personal darauf achtet, verkommt Spiaggia d’Oro nachts zum Freiluft-Partyplatz. Wer Erholung sucht oder mit Kindern reist: Finger weg. Eine Nacht hier fühlt sich an wie ein Open-Air-Festival ohne Ende – nur ohne die Musik. Nie wieder. Sanitary facilities mostly clean, restaurant serves good food at fair prices. But the nights? An absolute nightmare. Non-stop noise, no peace, no rules. The campsite is next to a busy road – I counted 24 loud motorcycles passing by in one single night, all the way until 3 a.m. On the site itself, people walk around talking loudly even after midnight. There are no enforced quiet hours, no staff checking, no one cares. Unlike Camping La Quercia, where silence starts at 11 p.m. and is actually monitored, Spiaggia d’Oro turns into a noisy open-air zone at night – minus the music. If you’re looking for rest or traveling with kids: stay far away. One night was more than enough.
