The Selsey Arms

Stopped off here for a couple of drinks and a snack to keep us going on a day out, ordered the sausage rolls from the bar bites menu... DELICIOUS 😋. They come with a homemade salad cream and I can honestly say they were the best sausage rolls I have had in a long time. The pub was to reasonably priced for very nice food and the homebaked biscuit with my coffee was a lovely touch!! Will be by back as main menu looked really good!!

We came for a quick drink and to get out of the rain, we were so pleasantly surprised with how lovely the staff were. It’s a gorgeous pub with a lovely owner, who was very accommodating towards us. Pints were well priced too. Thank you! We’ll be back:)

Great pub to find along our route. Warm welcoming vibe. Dropped in with friends for lunch and had best ever Liver and Bacon! Good selection of beer and friendly attentive staff. Nicely balanced menu. This pub would be my local if I lived in the area! Highly recommended.

Excellent staff, especially Pete and Suzanne, who made us feel very welcome in all respects. Anita’s cooking was excellent in all respects, and how she produced such a huge range of quality food at short notice is beyond us. The accommodation was also excellent, warm clean and welcoming. Many thanks for making our 2 day stay with you for the sad occasion of our cousin’s death so enjoyable, despite the sad circumstances. Roger and Janet Newton

I chose this hotel because it was the closest available accomodation to the Repair Shop at the Weald and Downland Museum. I was totally satisfied with every aspect of the stay at this property. We had room 4 and the proprietress was kind enough to supply a rollout bed as we required twin bedding. ( all rooms are doubles I believe.) Anyhow, the room was very spacious with a king size bed and a fully kitted shower bath room. Plenty of crisp towels pillows and linen . They also have some form of satellite TV. This hotel can be reached from outside the Chichester Cathedral by Stagecoach bus 60 which runs at 30 minute intervals. The bus stops literally outside the door. The bus back into Chichester stops outside the hotel similarly, every half hour. Or… if you’ve got limited time or lots of luggage, it’s about £18 for a taxi from Chichester station. We ate almost all our meals here ( breakfast is included in the tariff) and the food was delicious and substantial. The proprietress, who does most of the cooking, offers vegan options as well as traditional English fare. Overall, great food and well priced. Weald and Dowland museum is a 25 minute walk from here. Chichester town centre - 15- 20 minutes by bus. Overall great experience and highly recommended if you’re looking for a good traditional English Inn.

An old English pub, doing what old English pubs do, rather well. Eaten here a few times, and always enjoyed the food, the selection and atmosphere, along with a good beer. Lots of history with the pub and ww2, plus a short walk around the airfield showing the names on plaques of those who never returned.
