Breakaway Inn Guest House

We stayed at the Breakaway Inn for three weeks in May 2024 and we had a fabulous time. So for anyone considering this place you can’t go wrong. It is located 30 min for Hollywood airport ($60 by taxi or $30 by Uber), 3 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to the grocery store and 3 min walk to the main road where the restaurants and pubs are. Around town the bus system works pretty well and you can download the MOVEIT App to see the schedule. We booked the one-bedroom apartment and it was perfect. The beds are comfy, lots of storage and a huge walk-in closet with safe. Bathroom is good. There is a big sitting area with TV (lots of channels) and a full kitchen with table and chairs. The kitchen has everything you need (pots, pans, dishes, cutlery etc). The internet is fast and very reliable. The grounds are very beautiful and well maintained with lounge chairs and a patio sets. There are also two excellent gas BBQs under cover. The pool is wonderful to jump into after a walk about or just back from the beach. The Inn provides beach towels on arrival and can be exchanged as required. There are also an assortment of beach chairs and umbrellas available that previous guests (such as us) bought for their use and left behind. This place is like going to a family gathering. We made some new friends, had social times together (drinks and dinner) which just added to a wonderful experience. One even drove us to the airport when it was time for us to leave. Thankyou Steven. Lastly, the owners (Margaret and Andrew) were amazing. Friendly, always had time to chat and wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time. One night, Margaret invited the couples at the Inn to help her celebrate Andrews Birthday. She provided all the food while Andrew took care of drinks. He makes a wicked Hurricane. It was a great night. Can’t wait to book our return vacation for next May and see our new friends again.

I try to visit Lauderdale by the Sea every year, this was my first time staying at the Breakaway Inn, but it won’t be my last. Great location, close to the restaurants and beach. Clean room, the full kitchen is definitely a plus, and a well kept property. Hosts are super friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We’ve been going to LBTS for 17 years. This is our first time at Breakaway Inn, 9 nights, we absolutely loved it. The room was immaculate, grounds very well landscaped, nice pool with crystal clear water. The owners, Margaret and Andrew, are so nice. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. They ran a Halloween party for their guests that was so much fun. We are going back for 3 1/2 weeks in February and are going back next October for 2 weeks. 5 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the center, with many restaurants, bars and shops. Supermarket is less than a 10 minute walk. So happy that we found it!

We had an absolute bless with this people. They are so caring and you can really feel that they are doing it with there heart. The room was clean, nice and spacious. The beach is just a three minute walk away. I guess there is no better place to stay in this area. If you ever have the chance to stay here definitely do so!

Excelente lugar! atendido por sus propios dueños , siempre atentos a nuestros requerimientos. Muy bien ubicado cerca de lugares para comer y beber y también cerquita del mar. Lo super recomendamos! Si juegan al tenis tienen dos canchas hermosas en la plaza de enfrente q la dueña del hotel te brinda las llaves.Ah y ademas te da las raquetas y pelotas!! Lugar para volver!!

Le Motel est situé non loin du "centre" ou il y a plusieurs restaurants, cafés, bars, boutiques. Il est aussi proche d'un Publix (courses), Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins, pharmacie, etc. La plage, au sable blanc & fin, est accessible après la traversée de 3 "blocks" (2 petites rues & 1 avenue). En face il y a un petit parc pour les enfants (mais il fait trop chaud pour cela !). L'établissement dispose d'un emplacement pour la voiture, d'une piscine, des chats (!), de serviettes de plage (dans le prix) . Aussi des chaises de plage (laissés par des clients), 1 ou 2 parasols (aussi laissés par des clients, par contre, cassés mais peuvent servir quand même). Nous étions dans un "studio" donc avec une petite cuisine, frigo, etc. La chambre était spacieuse mais vieillotte avec air conditioning & ventilateur au plafond. Carrelage au sol. Propre. Nous n'avons pas eu de service de chambre, nous faisions notre lit (sommes restés 2 nuits) & rangions la salle de bain pour notre confort de propreté ... Pour aller au-delà du check-out (11H00), nous avons payés 10usd l'heure. Attention, il faut rajouter la taxe de 13 pourcent à ceci (surprise, elle ne nous avait pas dit !).
