My name is laurance Lee, Around 5:50 PM on March 24th, I was waiting to check in. There were a man and a woman at the reception desk. While I was waiting, the woman told me to go to the VIP check-in room. When I entered the small room, the man inside was talking to someone, so I waited. However, he impatiently asked me why I was there. When I explained that the receptionist had sent me, he asked if I was a VIP. When I said no, he told me to go back outside and wait.
So, I went back out and continued waiting. A few minutes later, he came out and, once again in an unfriendly manner, told me to come in so he could check me in. I refused. The woman who had initially sent me to that room saw me waiting in line again but left for her break.
While checking in with the man, I mentioned the situation, but instead of apologizing, he simply said that the other person must have been busy. The service I received was worse than that of a motel reception. Mistakes can happen while working, but there were several opportunities to handle them properly. However, they failed to recover from their mistakes.
The first woman left without taking responsibility for what she had said. The VIP check-in staff member had a chance to make up for the initial mistake by apologizing and assisting me when he came out of the room, but he failed to do so. The receptionist, although not directly responsible, could have at least apologized on behalf of his colleague.
Overall, the way the hotel staff handled the situation was very disappointing.
