Los Zocos Impressive Lanzarote

Nice resort, we really enjoyed it. The apartments are lovely and clean, I think you'd struggle to get a bad view because of the way they're laid out. The food was good and lots of choice in the main restaurant. The Chinese restaurant wasn't great. Drinks also good. Gardens are absolutely beautiful. The beach is really close and stunning. We spend most days on the beach. There's a pizza restaurant just at the end of the hotel which is really good. Very smooth holiday. I've only marked it down a star because the pools were so cold they were unusable. Not sure how they are so cold, the sea was much warmer than the pools.

An honest opinion of this resort after a short break with the family. First impression: very clean, lots of outside space, well kept garden areas Room: we had 1202 in Block 1. We paid for a family suite which had 2 bedrooms and a balcony with sun loungers on. I had emailed in advance asking not to have a large wrap around balcony as I had seen on Facebook that these were on the end, sometimes near reception. I also said I'd prefer not to be on the ground floor, but was only told when I complained, that all 1st floor rooms were on the end. Had I known this, I would have happily had a ground floor. We found out when we couldn't cool the room down that air-conditioning isn't switched on until May. I had read it was seasonal and maybe should have asked but expected it to be something like Nov-March. Our room was 24 degrees on average each night. The bath wasn't worth having either. A slow trickle was all we had... Noise: the reason for my lower review. Having the wrong location makes it a completely different holiday. Yes, the room was lovely. We paid extra to guarantee that. The location was on the end, right next to the back of the kitchens. Without exaggerating, we were woken up each morning, usually from 6.30- 7am. It was either delivery lorries or bin waggons. Beeping, banging, staff shouting above the noise to each other. This was continuous every morning until approx 9am with one van after another. Food: Average. We have done all inclusive before so we are used to the monotony and that didn't bother us. However, the choice was limited most days with little variety and not as good as we expected. Having said that, the staff were efficient, worked hard and cleared tables etc to keep things turned around. The option of snacks during the day was limited but ok. Staff: bar staff in the pool bar were very friendly and efficient. The rooms were cleaned every day (although the floor wasn't so it was pretty dirty by the time we left ). The animation team as always , worked hard to offer something for everyone without pushing too much. Overall: we enjoyed our week as we pay too much to let situations ruin valuable time away.. Would we go back? Probably not as I think we fell lucky going out of season so it wasn't as busy. The pool was absolutely freezing too, so a quick dip was just about all we could do !

Myself and my wife visited this hotel for new year break , we arrived on the 28th December. The receptionist was fantastic from telling us about our room , hotel eating times and bar opening times etc . Our room was 1313 the buildings are 3 high with no lifts , so if you have walking problems book lower floor . The room was perfect for us with a large bed , and wardrobe and safe ( you pay for ) a large bathroom and a lovely lounge with all the cooking facilities you need ( even though we went all inclusive) it came in handy for making tea and coffee. Very large balcony with table , 4 chairs and a recliner which i made great use of . There is a main pool area which we didnt use as it was the main families areas pool but it looked like the families loved it ( even if it was cold ) i cant comment on the kids activities as we came as a couple without children. We use what we called the quiet pool which was large and had a separate lanes area . There is a lovely bar there to get your drinks from but not food . Always got a bed no matter what time you turned up . The main snack bar and bar is in the main children’s pool area which you can help yourself to the usual burgers, hot dogs , chips , salad, rolls etc and help yourself to tea coffee and soft drinks , alcohol is served at the bar . There is are also arcade games and pool and darts to play . There is a great free crazy golf but we didn’t use it . Ok the main restaurant for breakfast, dinner and tea is large with inside and outside dining. We found the food fantastic with so much choice with a great selection of food ( my wife is the fussiest person in the world and even she ate plenty of food ) there is an Italian and Chinese separate restaurant but didn’t use so cant comment. There are 2 entertaining area one inside the hotel and a massive lovely tented entertainment area . I cant overly comment on the entertainment as we tended to stay for a few drinks and went into town but what we did see the kids and adults enjoyed. I did see a gym and football, volleyball courts and a few pool tables but we didn’t personally use . I’ve really only got 2 things i think this hotel could improve on ( nothing major ) is that the entertainment bars to get drinks dont open till 7.pm so do get a drink you have to go to the pool bar which is a tad annoying if your dressed up like most people are as you sit on chairs that may have sun lotion, food and drinks spills so not nice to sit in all dress up and secondly not really that important but a couple of UK tv Chanels ( its the Canary Islands not the uk so shouldn’t really moan its their country ) but it is possible to do . The surrounding area out side is 5 to 10 walking distance to all the shops and beaches which we loved and the sea was warmer than the pools .myself and mrs loved this hotel and apart from them two minor things i mentioned found the hotel perfect for all our needs and already booked up for next new year .
