Premier Inn Lancaster

Overall disappointed with the stay. The room on the ground floor was next to a staircase which was very noisy all night. The customer up above was also very noisy walking around his/her room. Apart from the noise, the room was very clean and tidy.

Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms lovely and clean. Beds comfortable and room was lovely and warm. Breakfast good value for money. Staff in the restaurant were lovely and really friendly. I’m vegetarian and they cooked me vegetarian sausages and bacon which were really nice. Thank you for another great night away.

Breakfast was a disgrace. Your cooked English breakfast was awful, the ingredients used looked terrible even before starting to eat it. The overall quality of the beans, sausage & egg specifically were poor & tasteless. I told the staff at the time & they were not really interested, no refund was offered.

Very pleasant stay over Christmas. Room clean, well heated, very comfy bed and lovely en suite bathroom with powerful shower. Great TV with AV inputs for your device, kettle and coffee tea making facilities. Good to see instructions for heating were on dressing table. About half the rooms nave a lovely view over moor, the other half look over main road. We were "unlucky" and looked out over the main road, but were not troubled by traffic noise as the room was triple glazed with effective sound insulation. Adjacent restaurant gave us the best breakfast I have ever had, healthy options like fresh fruit, brown bread as an option and fresh coffee / several teas. Very professional helpful staff at reception. Adequate free parking Two points could improve my stay, 1) shaver point, though Bic ones were for sale at reception. . 2) Better bread at breakfast. Though there was a brown bread option, it was mediocre and not a patch on premium UK or German breads.

This is not upto the standards that premier Inn portray re: good night sleep & they quote, “CleanProtect™ - our enhanced cleaning regime” this is certainly not the case here. We had been on an 8 hour journey with my 9 yr old granddaughter & 6 month old grandson so we were looking forward to our promised night of comfort from Premier Inn! When we opened our door to the room there was a strong smell of damp & damp marks on the walls, & skirtings were heavy with dust & black mould, clearly hadn’t been cleaned. We complained to the receptionist who moved us to another room. The room didn’t smell as strong but still had damp patches to which he said, “when you go for dinner I will clean those areas for you” When we returned he had cleaned as we could smell bleach & air freshener. If we had arrived earlier & not had such a long trip with 2 small children I would have left & booked elsewhere. The room just felt unclean & we couldn’t wait to leave. *the pictures I have uploaded are from the room we were moved too, so you can imagine what the first room was like…*

When entering our room, the smell of mould hit! The skirtings were very mouldy and hadn’t even been wiped clean! We requested to change rooms due to this. We had a 6 month old baby with us who was experiencing respiratory problems at the time. The man on reception gave us a different room, it had a more pleasant smell, however there was still visible mould in this room, when we went for dinner the man on reception went with bleach to clean these areas. Apparently there isn’t a mould problem at this hotel, yet both rooms had mould. Knowing we were sleeping in a mouldy room especially with small children was a very unpleasant stay
