Lampang River Lodge anmeldelser

We had this hotel booked by our local Thai tour operator for only one night as a part of our northern Thailand tour. Hotel is located in the jungle, between a pond and Wang river on the other side. We found the hotel grounds so beautiful and calm and really enjoyed our stay there. Have in mind you have nothing to do there, but relax and take a break. Lampang city is around 20 min drive. We used the pool in the afternoon and morning for a swim, as well relaxed on sunbeds overlooking the pond. At night we had a massage, dinner and just walked around the hotel grounds which were romantically lit. Rooms are in small bungalows, a little bit dated but still cute and clean. Ours was towards the river so we had a great view. As you might expect in such a location mosquitos are unbearable, so bring a repellent. Breakfast was very good and is served in a restaurant right on the river accessible via small bridge. Unfortunately, dinner was pretty disappointing so I deduct one star. Do not take the buffet menu, which was below average and pretty expensive for Thailand. Rather order something from the regular menu. Have in mind there's no other option to dine in vicinity. Overall I do recommend this hotel for a night, max 2 nights stay but wouldn't stay longer.
