Disney's BoardWalk Inn

We spent the weekend at Boardwalk Inn with family in April and overall it was a good experience. The staff was great, from check-in, valet, housekeeping, etc. We found everyone to be very friendly and helpful. The club level was really nice. They had good food throughout the day and it was very clean and well looked after. The pool needs to be remodeled. It is cramped with little shade and hard to find a place to sit. The food served by the pool is terrible and the cocktails not much better. Disney also needs to bring back room service to their properties. It is ridiculous to spend 10-12 hours at the parks, and not be able to relax and eat in your room.

We loved the Boardwalk. We had a Garden View Room and it was so peaceful. Room are renovated and nice. No problems walking to Epcot and Hollywood. No problems with buses to Disney Springs, Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. The bus line is shared with Yacht Club, Beach Club and Swan and Dolphin which isn't too bad. The Boardwalk has places to eat and nighttime fun. Pool was great. Would come back for sure.

I've been visiting Disney World for 30+ years with being a Florida local/yearly passholder (and get free parking at the resort as a perk) for the past decade. I love going to the restaurants here at the Boardwalk then going to the parks for a while after eating and leaving my car at the hotel parking lot instead of then driving to the park parking lot first. Never use to be a problem. Within the past couple months, they've started giving people who aren't staying at the hotel, but driving over to eat there parking pass that's only good for 3 hours. This means essentially leaving once your meal is done. The other hotels on disney property are not doing this. The parking pass is limiting the time I spend there and it doesn't make sense since I get free parking anywhere else on properly and limiting the time at the hotel is limiting how much I can spend while there.

If you don’t want to read the entire review just know this: over $800 a night is robbery. This was like staying at a motel 6 with cheesy disney decor in the room. Upon arrival we were greeted by valet screaming directions every which way to all the cars the pulling up. It was utter chaos. When we moved into the lobby there was not a single ounce of organization to be found. People were just sort of standing around, some with iPads, haphazardly checking people in. Once we finally found someone to check us in, no easy task, we headed to our rooms. My parents had a suite that was evidently just “redone”. By just redone they must have meant redone in the early 1980s. There is no access to this room from an inside hallway either; you can only enter or exit from the outside courtyard. The design of this hotel could not be more confusing. From my balcony I had the pleasure of watching every single person get lost. In my parents room there was POOP IN THE TRASH CAN and WET TOWELS IN THE SHOWER. At this point, we are wishing we had stayed at the motel 6. My husband and I had to change rooms because they gave us a room with two full beds. We booked a king, obviously. When we were changing rooms they gave us the run around on how this is a “family resort” so there aren’t a lot king rooms. So on top of having to change rooms this woman doesn’t qualify us as a family? Just WOW. Also, for over $800 a night you can’t give me a king bed? This hotel is a MESS. The main pool was utter chaos so we went to the quieter, smaller pool in the courtyard. It’s fine, but old and freezing and the towels offered at the pool were thinner than cardboard. I don’t think I saw one member of hotel staff near the pool. My recommendation is obviously not to stay here. Disney has changed a lot in the past 6 years since I have been and from what I can see and have experienced these changes are for the worse..

I checked into a resort view room. I was surprised that the finishes were worn and dirty in bathroom. I also found the toilet paper on the holder had a very odd brown substance on the edges. I spoke to someone at front desk who seemed to be unconcerned and offered someone to go look at what I was reporting. I was exhausted and wanted to sleep, so I told her this and that if Disney thought the room was clean, so be it! She should have offered to move me immediately! It may be minor though Disney hotels are costly and this is a motel 6 quality!! Especially the toilet paper roll.

Common areas are very nice. Location is fantastic with very easy access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. For the price the room are just OK. When we checked in the built-in soap dish had items left from the prior guest, including what looked like a pill and some garbage. Thought this would be cleaned up the next day. It was not. Made me question the overall cleanliness of the room. The room was loud. We could clearly hear everyone going by in the hallway and in the next room. Very hard to sleep in. I mentioned this to a Disney staff member and was told the walls were thin. Yikes. Had a great time and enjoyed our stay overall. However, for the price, I will look elsewhere next time.
