Clean and staff was nice. I hope this place is in the middle of renovation, as it does look very disheveled. The lobby and halls and rooms looked modernized, however there are no pictures on the walls in the rooms, just hooks where they were. The outside needs a complete refresh as well. Breakfast was served in what appeared to be an old restaurant attached to the hotel. However, the tables were "lifetime" foldable tables. This certainly did not effect my stay and worked, it is just not typical of Choice Hotel details. As I mentioned, if this is undergoing renovations, then the lack of aesthetics makes sense, if not, I am wondering why there is a large lack of details in the property. I found the location was great and the price was good as well. I would stay again.

Do not stay here! Absolutely horrible and disgusting. We arrived Friday evening 5/19 and checked in. Elevator rattled all the way up to the 6th floor. I walk into the room and there was a horrible stench of acetone or paint? Very chemical like. There were holes in the walls, stains on the floor & a weird all over stain on the balcony window. I requested another room and everything was decent enough for the night. We left for a funeral at 8am 5/20. When we came back around 10pm. We walk in and are told the elevator is broken and that we will have have to walk up to the 6th floor. If that wasn’t annoying enough, when we finally got to the top floor, there was a fire alarm going off. We tried to call down to the front desk for 10 minutes to see if it would be shut off (because we didn’t want to walk back down 6 flights and back up). The phone went right to a busy tone every time before we finally gave up. We decided to just gather our things and check out. We had to spend $200 to get a last minute hotel and because it’s Saturday at 10pm, most things are booked up so we had to drive 30 minutes just to get a decently priced hotel. In addition there is a $100 security deposit. Why? The hotel is already in horrible shape, if someone were to smoke in a room or leave holes or stains it’s not like the hotel would fix them. They’d just put new patrons in the same damaged room and collect their money. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Just spend the extra money to stay somewhere else. To top it off, the hotel did not properly check me out Saturday night. The young man at the front desk said he checked me out and to call ********** to contact comfort inn to be refunded. Because the young man did not actually check me out when I returned the key and checked out Saturday, the comfort inn At largo, MD is refusing to refund the second night of the stay (which was not completed due to their own negligence). Also, when trying to call to get my refund, whoever was working 5/24 flat out called me a liar and said I didn’t check out Saturday and that the alarm was not going off. I have been trying to have ********** come to a resolution with the hotel but they will not admit the alarm going off or that I checked out, despite the fact that they can check their own security cameras and see both. Absolutely terrible, and I will be recommending everyone I know against any Choice Hotels property. ********** and ******* as well.

Pool out of order; no milk at free breakfast; no change at front desk; stairmaster broken; no hot water for tea at night; no darkener shades on the sunny side of the hotel; no extra soap for a room of four people... you get the picture.

I want to take this opportunity to recognize Mr. Robert Ross and the Front Desk Team for the amazing service they provided. They truly went above and beyond, which is rare these days but it's much needed. Thank you for being an example of setting the bar HIGH!

Just Horrible : unclean, smells of pot. Asked for a blanket and they said no blankets. Asked for the complimentary bar of soap- they didn’t have any. Mold on walls behind the furniture . Carpets filthy. On my saving grace was a decent breakfast . If you want a clean room and hotel, DONT stay here.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 days, 2 nights while visiting family and it was a bad experience. The room was not cleaned well. The free breakfast served by people who Dont care. The food made me sick because it was highly processed. All the drinks offered in the hotel were very poor quality. The management has to be slumlords. In short, it was a bad experience, but the price was not bad had we stayed in a place not under major construction and renovations. Elevator didnt work, (safety issue) pool not open needs repairs. Parking, none because they frequently rent out space for events so guest can’t find parking. Please dont spend money on this experience....

If you could help it, DO NOT STAY HERE!! The rooms are extremely outdated. I can tell they did not thoroughly clean. We found hair on the floor and gnats. When we advised the front desk, we were told that someone was gonna go and re-clean. However a little later, another employee said they cleaned at check in and basically will not be cleaning the room again. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The bed slept good, however, the rooms are in need of a major renovation.

My first impression of this hotel is that it looks abandoned if you drive up from the back as I did. I thought it was scammed and lost my money. There was mold around the tub area, the room itself was not up to my standards in cleanliness. Front desk staff was not attentive and was slow in checking guests in. Will not stay here again.
