The location and view are absolutely stunning, but the lasagna and filetto were disappointing. The quality of the dishes was poor, and the bill was too high for what was served. I suggest they focus more on improving the food quality to match the beautiful setting.

Relais Villa Vittoria is simply magical! We hosted our 30-person wedding here last month and the more we reflect, the more it feels like we were living in a dream. The service, the food, and the property were all fabulous! Realis has this historic charm to it that makes you feel like you are living in a storybook and while I’ve read through several mixed reviews, I can tell you that this is a destination that I will crave to return to for the rest of my life. There’s something so special that echoes throughout the villa. While we were there the lush landscape was filled with jasmine blooms and there were swans that swam up on the lake. I wish I could bottle it up. To our wedding planner Laura that helped make our wedding dreams come true – thank you! You were lovely to work with, quick to reply to all of our questions, and recommended amazing vendors that exceeded our expectations. To the hotel staff that delivered upon all our requests and more, thank you for being a part of our special day! Truly an amazing team. This place is an absolute gem! Memories of a lifetime.

On the banks of the most charming of Italian lakes, a boutique hotel full of charm where time stands still suspended above the waves. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient and the rooms are very pleasant and well decorated, some with a balcony overlooking the water. And don't forget the excellent surprise of the restaurant, where the cuisine matches the beautiful terrace (excellent parmigiana, among other dishes). Please note: the car park is small and a little further away.

We have just got back from our wedding weekend at the villa and all I can say is thank you. It truly was the wedding of our dreams and more. We had a pizza dinner on the Friday, the food was great and the table set up lovely. We went for the buffet style and had drinks served out of the outside bar. For the wedding day on the Saturday, we had 48 people with one long table for dinner. The staff could not have been more lovely, from Laura who helped us co-ordinate everything to Claudio who was an absolute dream serving drinks and generally being amazing. To the head waiter, to the head chef and all the other staff at breakfast, reception, cleaning staff genuinely could not have been more accommodating. The rooms were just lovely. Clean and spacious and checkin was smooth (I was a little worried about this beforehand as lots of people turning up at once). They were so organised and had the list printed of where all our guests were staying. The table set up for the wedding day was stunning and the staff made sure everything was perfect & organised all of ceremony seating. The villa itself is just beautiful, the restaurant food is outstanding. All I can say is thank you so very much for making our weekend so special. We will for sure be back! We had wonderful 4 night stay in a spacious well appointed room with exquisite views. The staff were always friendly, and very helpful with our numerous enquiries. Breakfast was plentiful and dinner well presented and delicious. While linen was fresh and clean I would advise improving the quality of the linen and duvets and provide a warm extra blanket, even in spring. And the towels which while perfectly clean, are very thin. Good thick cotton towels are a must. Despite these criticisms we would highly recommend this gorgeous hotel. Thank you everyone

My husband and I travel a lot and I have never felt a need to write a review for anything because we have always been happy with our choices based on thorough investigation of hotels before we travel. We like Mr and Mrs Smith, Telegraph and Small luxury hotels reviews a lot. Villa Vittoria at Lake Como has made me feel like I have to offer a fellow small luxury traveler that expects value for money a warning. Room was ok and what we had booked. However, service throughout the hotel… reception, bar service and restaurant were less than zero. The music played throughout the hotel, outside terrace areas and even the restaurant was loud and obnoxious and we asked many times for them to turn it down and they would not. The 80’s discotheque music at their expensive lakeside restaurant was too much for us. The loud music ruined what should have been our last night of a fabulous two week vacation in Northern Italy and the Dolomites. Worst part was they didn’t care when we brought it to their attention. Very disappointed. We also had an early flight from Malpensa the next day and had to leave 7:30 and breakfast was not available until 8:30. Do not recommend this hotel if you want a quality experience. Perhaps we were unlucky…but I hate being disappointed when I am the customer and the staff doesn’t care. One should also consider access and parking facilities of this hotel if driving. Very cumbersome.

We stayed here three nights which was a good amount to see the area and visit the nearby villages .The rooms were wonderful , a generous size and clean . Freshly Decorated keeping the tradition of the villa . The breakfast was adequate but the service was lovely and we had delicious coffee every morning . We had a wonderful lake view from the room which was magical to wake upto . I would stay here again but please note the spa use comes at an extra cost of 20 euros per person .

I wish I had seen Carol L’s review before booking this hotel on the shore of lake Como. This family run hotel is certainly trying to punch above its weight and obviously trading on its views. The attention to detail, no atmosphere and indifferent staff don’t help. Carol was lucky to have missed breakfast in the cramped cellar room where tables were so close together no one could get up or move around the room without someone else moving. The breakfast itself was cold (the hot food plate was not on), the selection was meagre, the coffee never showed, the milk was rancid and the waiting staff were chaotic to say the least. When we highlighted all of the above they were indifferent and did not know what to do. Apparently the cellar room was meant to be atmospheric in winter which certainly is not our experience. Bearing in mind it was also the festive season the hotel was lacking any festive atmosphere what so ever which I think reflects the owners attitude towards hospitality generally. Avoid as there are far better places to stay and eat that also charge less around the lake.

Just got back from como, stayed at this beautiful villa. I am giving this villa 4 stars only because my friend and I payed €60 for the spa experience, which included jaquizi and sauna, this experience is overpriced in our honest opinion and trying to help fellow travellers. Jaquizi was freezing cold, and it smelled of mold. It really should have been included into the price of stay, definetly not worth the money! Attic room was very clean, staff were helpful, it is situated on beautiful surroundings, right on the shore of the lake, lovely food at restaurant. It’s advertised as you can see George Clooneys house from the villa, you can’t. However it’s only 15 min walk from the villa down the road. There is no pedestrian walk so you have to be careful when you walk on the road. Pleasant experience overall.
