I had a wonderful experience. Although the location is a bit far from Komodo Town, it is perfect for those seeking tranquility. The hotel is situated next to a beautiful beach, providing a serene and picturesque setting. The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of tasty options. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Everything is so good , but we have no safe in our room ,, no hairdryer either. And we called up to borrow hairdryer , they said to wait for a momment...3 days later...never arrived:)

I love everything about Sylvia hotel , From the staff to the ocean view room and the rooms are way too clean.

The hotel is nice located by the beach, the rooms are clean but if you stay in the apartments you can hear all your neighbors, so take the earplugs.

Nice hotel on the beach, close to airport. Had a bungalow near the beach.

Upon viewing the hotel pictures through the app, it appeared rather dated, which initially gave us reservations about booking. However, after experiencing our stay, we have absolutely no regrets. The service was excellent, the scenery was breathtaking, and we were greeted with a stunning sunset on the hotel’s private beach upon arrival. The breakfast was outstanding, with all the dishes being delicious. Oh, I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was tidy and clean, as was the bathroom. We felt extremely comfortable resting there after a long, tiring day. Overall, our stay was exceptional and surpassed all our initial doubts and expectations.

Nice location, nice price, great experience in small island, joined tours with discount, staff friendly. Unfortunately, the island blocked Grab, replaced with more expensive Taxi, and lots of places need cash, which we didn't like. Anyway, for budget travellers, this is the place to go, private beaches and reasonable breakfast.

The property is old but clean and the beach and swimming pools are nice. This would be a great place if it weren’t so far away from the town center. You will have to pay 100.000IDR one way for a ride into town. You may or may not be stuffed into a van with other random people, and the driver might be very late in picking you up to return. LBJ only has grab scooters, so transportation is a bit of a pain.

The best part of staying at this place was that it does have a private beach that you can snorkel from and relax and watch the sunsetting. However, the resort is about a 15 minute drive to the centre of town. You can get a car from the resort most of the time without too much of a wait for the cost of $10 AUD each way. However, we did have to find our own way back from the town centre after 10pm and paid local drivers more. You will need to go into the town centre every day because unfortunately the resort restaurant is awful. The service and food were very disappointing and well below average. We had breakfast included with our stay and only ate breakfast there once. There are many great restaurants and bars in surrounding hotels and town centre and I would recommend using those. Our room was quite nice, although the bathroom was mouldy and grimy in places. The staff were friendly.

We came to this place by the suggestion of our friends who wear staying here 2 times. But it was last year. So I guess now something changed. The personal was terrible rude. 1. We came around 9 am, they said room is not ready come around noon. We came 2-3pm. They said the room are ready; so we(me and my wife) went there so tired and hungry wanted to take shower and go to the restaurant. I went to shower and after I couldn’t find any towel. So all wet I put my clothes on and went out to look for towels while my wife taking shower. (2).I found one worker outside and called him: Hello sir. He made a gesture with his hand as if for an animal: You come here! I didn’t react on it: just asked can we have a towel? He said I’ll call to the reception. Then we wait about 5 minutes no towels! Then I I found the phone and call by myself again: They said we will bring. We wait about 5 minutes more. Then my wife said I’m cold already bring anything, and I gave her towel for the floor and feet, coz it was only towel I found. In the end they didn’t bring it. I found the guy in the garden and asked him, he was really kind and after he heard we wait 20 minutes for it, he went and bring it finally. 3. We went to restaurant to eat . After 20 minutes it gets hot inside so we went outside, there was all tables free, we sit in one. Straight one lady came in rush and said: You can’t sit here , it’s only for guests! Like whaaat? 🤬 That was EPIC! My wife said: We are guests!!! She said: Oh sorry it’s reserved! We didn’t move because it was to crazy, saying this to the customers. And 4. Until 10 pm was so loud music in the restaurant, so people can’t sleep 😴 and often people stay there day before trip to Komodo, so have to wake up so early. Have to mark one guy who was good and nice, his name: Deni. If you guide or taxi, ask him. P.S. after couple hours I went outside to see for who it was reserved and there is not even 1 person 😅 down there 👇🏻 this picture. So in the end we only liked beach and sunset’s in this hotel.

Hotels are clean, nice and descent. But I think the management can relook into investing in sofa bed for the beach. And manpower to clean the beach too. Especially new hotels are coming so can compete with international chain hotel surrounding

Overall good place to stay. The breakfast wasn't amazing but the location and service was very good. I would recommend this place to stay but would rent a moped or car so can access the local town.

Nice private beach next to a 5 star hotel. Good spread for buffet breakfast.
