Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa

Visited with my husband and 2 adult children so booked 2 rooms. The rooms were a great size, 4206 & 4208, with lovely views of the pool. We only used the pool nearest the reception (the quiet pool), which was beautiful. There were plenty of sunbeds and parasols, and we never had a problem finding 4 together - whatever time of day we arrived. Loved the fact that the hotel provided towels too! My son used the spa a few times and had a wonderful time. We only had breakfast in the hotel, which was probably the best I've had in any hotel. The choice of food was amazing and everything we tried was delicious. Particularly loved the 2 robot waiters!! All of the staff throughout the hotel were lovely - always polite, cheery and very helpful. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, and the grounds stunning. Even after 7 days, I'm sure there were parts we still hadn't explored. We will definitely be back.

Having read lots of reviews we were fearing it wouldn’t live up to expectations, no need to worry, the most striking first impression is the botanical gardens in and out of the hotel. It is an unusual set up but stunning everywhere you look. Booked a private taxi, arrived to an effecient and polite booking in. We had a ground floor Junior Suite as I wanted a shower and we loved it. We normally do adult only all inclusive so had to get used to having kids around and getting a drinks bill at the end of two weeks, you can settle daily if you wish. Breakfast was great but I wasn’t that impressed with the evening meal set up although I always found something to my taste. Better food labelling needed. Drink quality is good with decent measures. Staff on the whole were great, special mention to our House Keeper Anna, what a lovely, helpful lady. A short stroll down to the port is a must, beautiful place with fantastic restaurants. Would we return ? Yes.

This is probably the njj in vest hotel we have ever stayed in, yes there could be a couple of things tweaked to make it perfect but overall this was an excellent holiday, the hotel grounds are amazing, the staff friendly and helpful, always somewhere to sit around the pool whether in the sun or shade, the food is varied and of a very high quality. The only downside we had during our stay was that a lot of the food on offer did not have the description card next to it filled in, strangely enough the one thing that was always described was the chips! The other thing that would have made the hotel better was that the only outdoor place for an evening drink was outside the front of the hotel and only seats around 24 people, the hotel is in a superb position and a steady 20 minute walk to the beach, rooms are very clean and spacious, yes there is the odd knock of scrape here and there but we felt it added to the character, pools are a good size and you can get a decent swim in them too

This is the 2nd time we've been to this hotel and it is beautiful. We had a superior room situated in the Blue house. It has every comfort, and a big terrace with sun loungers plus a table and chairs. We were able to have our breakfast in the restaurant below, which was lovely and peaceful. Food is great. Staff smiley and helpful. Would highly recommend .

As my title reads I am a stickler for checking Tripadvisor with every holiday I book. Takes me a long time to choose somewhere. I have to say Hotel Cordial is probably one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. So unique and special in its own way. We stayed as a family of 5. Myself, husband, 13, 8 and 2 year old. There was something for all of us whether it was in the hotel itself or surrounding area. Pool - The pool (pool 2 as it’s known) was a big hit with my kids. We went to the other pool on one of the days but they weren’t allowed ball games in there so we stuck to pool 2. This wasn’t a problem. I think it’s quite nice to have a relaxed pool and a fun pool. Always clean and well maintained. Sometimes a little slippy walking round so be careful. Food - breakfast is amazing! So much choice. Even for fussy eaters. Evening meal was great too. Chefs cooking fresh food and plenty of food for the kids. Although no actual ‘kids section’ this was ok as I felt it made them try other food that they wouldn’t normally notice. Rooms - we had joining rooms which were really big. Cleaned every day and air con was nice to come back to. My only gripe was there wasn’t many hangers to hang clothes up so might be worth taking your own if you’ve space. Grounds - the hotel grounds are like nothing I’ve seen before. So well kept and beautiful. I saw the gardeners clearing up and tending to the plants regularly. If you like the grounds and flowers take a trip to Mogán Playa centre. It’s breathtaking. On the whole I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return

This hotel has become my all-time favourite for a number of reasons. For context, we are an autism family who are particular about noise, cleanliness, crowds, and service. This was our 3rd stay, the first one being in 2022. I travelled alone this time with my 14 year old son. We stayed in a combination of the self-catering Solaz duplex apartments within the grounds of the hotel, and also hotel suite 905, ground floor. The suite, although lovely, was a challenge. My son is 5'10", so the sofa bed wasn't particularly comfortable or practical. Once the sofa bed was pulled out, the glass table, which had to be moved, blocked the patio doors. We picked it up and moved it to the spacious bedroom. The suite gave us access to the 'blue building' for breakfast. Even though there was a smaller selection, the atmosphere was serene. Service was quick and efficient. The dining room was immaculate. My only gripe was cold coffee, 5 days out of 9. In comparison, breakfast in the main buffet dining area can be busy, loud and chaotic for us.. Dinner was also busy, but the staff coped well. I've tended to avoid the red meat because it can be tough. This year, I had steak a few times. It was tender and cooked well to order. I also noticed more men in shorts, which was a positive. The long trousers for men rule is ridiculous in July heat. On to the evening entertainment. I've seen all the shows at least once. They are mostly aimed at my age group (50s) and above, although there are kids there. The volume varies. The Tenors were so loud, my ears hurt and I had to leave. Which is a shame because they are great singers. I also got to experience the spa this year for the first time. Wow! What a delight. Good range of facilities and very quiet and clean. The flotation pool is pure bliss. The two beautiful pools are a real draw at The Cordial Mogan Playa. No music, padded sun loungers, very helpful and attentive lifeguard at the family pool. His name is Andre and he is a credit to the hotel. This year, they had bingo at the family pool, which is not my thing. They also had a Friday pool party for the children, which was great fun. I'd suggested this in 2022, so I'm glad the hotel took this onboard. A few of the sun loungers were filthy and needed a jet wash. Not many, but enough for me to notice. So, onto the service. This hotel is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. The general manager José Santana is hands-on and visibly present throughout the hotel at all times. When we encountered issues, he and his team rectified them immediately. I am extremely grateful for their empathetic response when our Solaz duplex apartment had maintenance problems, which meant we had to be moved to a suite in the hotel. The Cordial Mogan Playa is excellent for people who are neurodivergent. The staff seem trained to understand autism and sensory issues and try their best to help. I am already planning my 4th visit. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

One of the best tourist hotels I have stayed in. Much better than some more expensive rivals. Fantastic service and facilities. The grounds are beautiful, huge range of services and excellent food. Entertainment every night, which so far has been top class. Great value considering what you get for the cost.

We arrived late in the evening and checked into the hotel, the lobby space is really impressive, we were given a drink upon arrival (water,OJ,Wine,Fizz) and offered some food but we weren’t hungry. They gave us a pool towel each and a porter took us and our luggage to our room. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything you need. Hairdryer, shower over a bath, WC, large mirror and sink, large double wardrobe space, tea & coffee, blackout curtains, comfortable beds, extra pillows, air con, tiled floor throughout, fridge, safe, large mirrors, balcony with towel drying rack and table & chairs. The toilet was leaking at the point where it meets the tiled floor, I phoned reception first thing and they had it seen too by the afternoon. Your room card enables you to move around the hotel, some doors need your door card to open them. Bottled water. You get 500ml bottles of water per person left in your room but don’t buy anymore from the hotel, they charge €2.50 per 500ml bottle but for €1.35 you can get 5ltrs from the Spar shop a 5min walk away (towards the sea) so keep the bottles and refill. Two large pools, pool 2 is aimed for activities like pool polo, children etc Pool 1 is quieter. Both salt water. Pool 2 has a beach style entry. With a separate shallow baby pool nearby. Towels can be exchanged for new at the poolside. The poolside bar at pool 2 serves sandwiches with chips, a range of drinks and ice-creams, they will also cook pizza and deliver to your sun-bed after 1pm. Half board, included breakfast and dinner. Any drinks they offer at dinner will be charged to your room. A good range of food and drink. Breakfast; cereal, nuts, fruit, yoghurt, savouries, cooked, bread, fresh honey, juices, hot drinks etc… Dinner; Bread, range of meats and fish, vegetables, pasta, cheese & biscuits, pizza etc… There are robots taking the dirty dishes to the washing areas, quite a novelty to watch. On your first night at dinner you are given a card and allocated a table, this is then your table every evening at the same time and you have to remember the card to show on your arrival. Two dinner setting times are 6.30pm-8pm 8.30pm-10pm. Everything you purchase from the hotel goes onto your room number for settling at the end of your stay. Activities are available and we as a family enjoyed the following; Yoga, Water polo, Giant chess, Ping pong, Bingo. Multi games room. There is Football, Trampoline, Bowling & Tennis too but we get around to do those. Personally we thought the water polo wasn’t played enough, at least once a day would be good. The yoga was ok, what was really frustrating was that the area had changed but not notified on the advertised posters, I ended up missing half of one of the sessions because I was running around the place trying to find where everyone was, we spent too long in each pose and 30mins wasn’t quite enough, it would also be nice to have a few mins meditation at the end.
