Our second visit here and so we made sure to book a room in the hotel rather than the annexe. As they mention, the rooms aren't huge, not helped by the bathroom which is very poorly designed. The bath is enormous, very long and very deep - it could certainly do with being a third shorter to make the room bigger. The toilet is far too close to the wall - there is plenty of room to move it. It's another case of the person who designed it never having to use it. Having said that, the bed was comfortable, it was all very clean and good to see USB charging ports instead of having to struggle with adapters. Dinner last time was excellent, this time it was even better, even though we couldn't sit outside because of the weather. Both food and service were first class. We did have a drink in the new bar first. There was nobody on duty and they didn't respond to the bell as they were out of earshot. Far better to have a buzzer linked to the kitchen or reception. Breakfast the following morning was a bit different unfortunately - a few croissants and two extremely burnt pains au chocolat greeted us. No fresh fruit. A very high-tech fresh orange juice machine that worked intermittently. It was a bit of a let down after such a fabulous dinner. The breakfast room is a bit cramped, but they really do need to improve it. In spite of that, we would go back as it's a useful stopover to/from Calais or Dieppe and has secure parking - if Dieppe is your port, the N road route is very pretty, but extremely slow. Probabaly better to take the autoroute to Rouen which is what we'll do next time.
