Great property, onlyissue is the severe lack of food option in and around the hotel. Otherwise perfection.

this is the greatest onsen hotel I have ever stayed, the room was large, the view was beautiful, big in love with the private onsen, the staffs are nice and helpful, the dinner and breakfast were great too, it was really excellent with everything, highly recommend

Dinner food requires improvement. We stayed 3 nights and the food quality keep getting worst. We got supposed to get hot dish but arrived below room temperature. The dinner set course is western style which is kind of repetitive every night. Suggest to serve western and Japanese food alternatively every other day

Wonderful experience! Staff were excellent and the perk of having an on site lounge for snacks and drinks was a bonus. Hotel could explain the request for wearing the provided “room wear” for those unfamiliar with the practice. Once I understood the request it was fun to wander around in the provided clothing!

I am very grateful that there is hotspring serving directly in my room. In addition to that, there are 4 more private hotspring rooms which can be freely used 24h whenever they are not occupied. My room is a lot bigger than what I expected. The meals are good and the staff are friendly. There are lots of free servings such as draft beer during different time of the day. There is scheduled shuttle bus going between the hotel and the central area.

I appreciate the service and facilities in the hotel. Although the location is a bit far away from the hot spring street, the environment is very quiet and pleasant. I must commend the hotel staff who helped my son to search his missing door key. They are very helpful and polite. It is really a good experience to share.

Pros: 1. The room was incredibly spacious, with 4 beds even though we were only a party of 3. The mountain view from the room was fantastic! 2. Overall cleanliness was good. 3. Excellent location near Yubatake, where local shops and dining options are plentiful. 4. The private onsen was amazing, with a convenient button to refill hot water into the tub. 5. Special afternoon and evening times offered free food at the lounges, including ice cream, turnip soup, sausages, noodles, and special amenities like complimentary interdental brushes and facial masks. 6. Hotel staff provided excellent and efficient service. 7. Dinner was a delightful 7-course meal, with each evening featuring a different menu. 8. Breakfast was quite good with a decent variety. 9. The complimentary parking area was spacious with plenty of spots, located right next to the hotel entrance. Cons: 1. There isn't much to criticise about the place. Perhaps the breakfast spread could vary slightly each day.

No towels are provided in the public hot spring places and needa to bring from room to the onsen spot. Asked the staff about the routes from Kusatsu to Shinjuku and they have no clue at all. Finally got one English speaking staff told us that theres direct bus from the station to Shinjuku. Asked again whether advanced booking of the bus tickets are needed and the staff said it’s not necessary. We ended up the next day missed two earlier buses coz they were already full and we were reluctant to have 2 times transport changes by asking the tourism information centre. Barely staffs can speak and understand English well. However, the French set dinner are really nice and out of our expectations.
