We are currently here for a stay of 7 nights and all of us, across the board, would not recommend staying here and none want to come back here. It is really shocking reading all these high reviews as it feels like they are not talking about the same hotel. This is NOT a 5 star resort. If you are wanting a 5 star experience, 5 star customer service, 5 star rooms, 5 star amenities and 5 star food DO NOT come here. Having stayed at 5 stars, 4 stars and 3 stars, this hotel is more comparable to a 3 star hotel we have stayed at. Other 5 stars and 4 stars we have stayed at have staff who offer fantastic service, more modern rooms, smart TVs although this is not a must, way better food and small things in the room like bath robes, slippers, etc. Staff seem miserable and don’t really greet anyone throughout the hotel and don’t offer drinks in the restaurant, unless directed to. This is completely different to other places we have been to. The room walls feel quite thin and you can hear what’s happening outside. From the moment we checked in we have been disappointed in particular with the food. We arrived at 2am from a long days travelling and emailed before to confirm food would be available and were told there would be a light snack area. All there was on offer was very dry, stale bread and stringy spaghetti. The adults and children in the group went to bed pretty hungry that night. The food in in the main restaurant is extremely bland, tasteless and tastes like very cheap and poor quality food. The food rarely changes so you see pretty much the same thing at lunch and dinner the whole time you are there with only 4/5 different things. Everything else is the same. By day 3 we were sick of this. We found the snack bars are slightly better and have warmer food but they only operate between 11-5 PM so this is no use at all for breakfast and dinner. One person had tummy issues as a result of the food in the main restaurant. We raised our concerns with the guest relations staff who dismissed us and told us she eats the food and it is fine. We emailed the hotel manager who said he will speak to the relevant department but nothing more. Luckily we booked a package deal with jet2 and had our rep to speak to after this, who tried their level best to satisfy us but sadly the fault is not with jet2 but the hotel itself. There are a la carte restaurants on site (Italian, seafood and Turkish) but you can only eat at one for each 7 nights you stay. I believe this is a cost cutting measure as the hotel knows the food in the main restaurant is rubbish. Unfortunately it is very difficult to get a reservation in the a la carte restaurants as they are inundated with requests due to trh main restaurant being so bad. Staff seem very aware of the issue but are doing nothing to rectify it. We would hear ppl moaning about the food on a daily basis.
