Hanting Hotel (Wangfujing Branch, Nanping Pedestrian Street, Kunming)

This hotel has modern rooms and great security. I think it's in the best location if you want to explore Nanping Pedestrian Street. Just step out of the hotel, and you'll find several large shopping malls and department stores. A short walk will take you to the Jinbi Gate. There are souvenir markets, street food, and alleys full of delicious restaurants. If you're into Popmart, you can walk to the store easily, and there are many Popmart Roboshops, the vending machines for their figures near the hotel. You can get some figures from these machines that aren't available in the store. The hotel is also close to many famous coffee shops and popular Chinese tea shops. The hotel staff are very helpful and provide great information. I really like this hotel and if I get the chance, I'll definitely stay here again.

Check in process was smooth. Hotel room was big and heated. We wish we spent more nights here. Hotel lobby staffs were all friendly. They help kept our luggage after checkout so we can spent our time looking for souvenirs before we head to the airport. They responded to all of our request and queries. We choose this hotel because it is walking distance to Shuncheng street where a lot of halal food available. Convenient for Muslims. We spent our night food hunting at Shuncheng street.

not recommened for staying here because they are having construction outside the hotel. u will listen the sound from morning until midnight.

Very clean room. Bathroom is really nice. Wifi is a little iffy at times. Not that stable. There is construction going on at the hotel currently, day and night. Kinda noisy. Wish they had informed in advance. Counter staff is polite upon check in but i get the feeling that they dont really welcome foreigners. There was an emphasis on passport usage to check in would take much longer than with china ic. Wifi login was also informed to log in via china hp number. If foreigner like me, dont have, staff have to input their own hp no. Which is weird, no? Location is close to wuyi mrt but not exactly useful. Better to choose a hotel close to line 1 & 2, can rch kunming train station easier. Close to kunming old street though. Really like the room but management is weird here. Not likely to return.

Room is clean and spacious. Very near to the nanping pedestrian street where you can find a lot of halal food. There are washers and dryers at level 21. You can use them for free. The staffs were very helpful. As we need to be at the airport early, so we checked out at 8pm. Upon check out, one of the staffs noticed that we have 1 more remaining night to stay. She then helped us to get refund for that.
