The hotel location is very good, near to metro and lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel is also very close to shopping centres and some attractions. Highly recommended to stay here if you’re in Kunming!

Location was great, very near to metroline station.
Great breakfast and they have great coffee too.
Hotel reception are friendly, they offered us the luggage storage when they noticed we were checking out but still wish to go for shopping.

Located directly at Dongfeng square is good for transportation (metro lines going directly to railway stations and to the airport) but a little bit away from the nice going-out neighbourhood. Unfortunately, the rooms have been very small and sometimes smell smoky because smoking is not prohibited.

Our stay at Aifiel Hotel in Kunming was fairly convenient, though there were some challenges. The hotel is located just behind a bus stop on the main road, making public transportation easily accessible. However, if you prefer walking, it takes about 25 minutes (estimate: 2KM)to reach the city center.
One of the best aspects of this hotel is its location next to a convenience store and a halal restaurant, which was very convenient for us. However, communication with the staff was difficult as they did not speak English, so we had to rely on Google Translate for all interactions.
Overall, it’s a decent choice for those looking for a budget-friendly stay with easy access to basic necessities, but be prepared for the language barrier.

Room 202 is a small room with a window facing the inside of the building (looks like staff accommodation), so we kept the curtain closed. It's alright because we were going out during the day. As the room is closed to the lift lobby, you could hear guest passing by in the morning. The hotel is located in front of a bus stand and bicycle lane, it was a little inconvenient to cross the road because the bicycles there are fast. But you can walk everywhere from this hotel since the weather is so nice. Other than that, the room is clean with excellent amenities, toilet and bath are separated. The hotel also has a laundry room for guests to do their laundry. We enjoyed our stay here.

If you want to stay in the center and head to the airport easily. This is the ideal hotel for you. The room smelled show up that maybe the guest before me was smoking.
