Z Hotel (Kunming Dianchi Shenghuo Meixue)

5/5 – An Exceptional Stay with Outstanding Hospitality! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The service was excellent—they even arranged a pickup for us, which was incredibly helpful. What really stood out was how kind and attentive everyone was, especially with our 5-month-old baby. When we needed assistance with getting our little one vaccinated, the staff helped us navigate everything smoothly. Their genuine care made a huge difference. The amenities were fantastic—having laundry service included was a lifesaver for us as traveling parents. We also enjoyed the free coffee and snacks available throughout the day, and the breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options. We also appreciated the hotel’s warm and safe atmosphere. The fact that the staff is mainly female added to the welcoming and comforting environment. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely return if we’re back in the area. Wow, we enjoy staying here. Room is spacious n beautiful. Many restaurants n shosp around the hotel. Only stay one night. But will surely be back again . Next time will stay at least 3 nights. The breakfast is yummy, especially the fried rice.

Z hotel is stunning. The design of the hotel is very creative. The staff were super helpful and tried to do their best for me. Please note , you will need to contact them before hand so that they can give you a short ride in their cart to the hotel because the hotel is located in a pedestrian area. It is very pleasant to stroll along quiet streets after supper. I would have awarded Z hotel full marks except for 1 thing, and it is not a big thing. I found that the toiletries were not replaced when almost empty. We stayed 3 nights. It is so easy for the cleaning person to check this while doing up the room. Also, in the breakfast area, a few serviette holders were empty too. I hope they can improve on this little area and they will be perfect.

Very good hotel.

If there was a 6th star, it would be for the service. From check in, to check out, the staff always went above and beyond to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. You could feel the genuine warmth from the team there and it hands down beat the established 5 star hotels. Best service, ever. So good, that we cancelled another hotel stay in Kunming to return to this hotel for our last night.

We made a great decision to choose Z hotel for our stay in Kunming. Hotel staff picked us up by buggy. Upon arrival we were served fresh hot flower cakes. We were presented with a 3 options of fragrances for our toiletries. Starbucks is free. On the morning of checking out, the staff prepared sandwiches, boiled eggs and Starbucks coffee even though it was 4.30 in the morning. We enjoyed our stay very much. Moreover the location is convenient. Lots of places to eat and to do a bit of shopping.
