"Backpack Time" Youth Hostel is located in the core area of the city center, No. 213 Baoshan Street in the center of Kunming, adjacent to subway lines 1, 2 and 3. It is within walking distance of popular scenic spots such as Nanping Pedestrian Street, Jinma Big Chicken Square, Cuihu Park, etc. It is surrounded by trendy landmarks such as Nanqiang Night Market Street and Shuncheng Shopping Center. With the concept of "safety, cleanliness and cost-effectiveness", the hostel creates a sound-proof living space: each person is equipped with independent lockers, and the three-piece set system of "one guest, one exchange" is strictly implemented. Nice location, near to most attractions in Kunming, but it is trickier to find the entrance as it is not facing the main road. Owner is friendly and helpful, bed is clean.

We stayed at the dorms, the staff was really nice and helpful and the location is really great, the bed isn’t the most comfortable, but it is a decent option for backpackers and overall a really great value for the money in Kunming!

Every thing great except smell of cigarettes always come into the room when someone open the door to enter the room at night.

Clean hotel. I want to express my gratitude to the staff service. I took a Didi, but the drivers didn't drop me to the exact hotel location. During that day, the weather was raining heavily. The staff willingly to pickup me at the wrong location that the driver drop off just now. She came with umbrella to take me to the correct location. Thankyou soo much for your efforts.

Very cozy hostel at a perfect central location in Kunming. The bunks are nice and private, while the living room really makes it feel like your just hanging out and staying over at your friends place! Blankets are thick, free drinking water is provided and the owner is super helpful. She has great tips for delicious food as well! When we were there, we were lucky enough that her little brother was also staying over and he offered to show us around for a full day. My girlfriend and I first booked 2 dorm beds for 2 nights, but ended up staying here for 4 nights because we felt so at home! Thanks to the owner and her brother for making us feel so welcome ^^
