JEN Kunming by Shangri-La

Love everything in here Most of the staffs can speak English and really have a good service mind. The welcome cookies were so delicious when take them with hot tea. The water machine in the room is really smart and environmental friendly. The breakfast is very great, cooked fresh.

I faced a major challenge that needed immediate attention. Bella promptly and efficiently addressed the situation with a high level of professionalism and empathy. Her ability to stay calm under pressure and find a solution quickly was truly impressive. Bella went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was not only pleasant but also stress-free. I think it's okay to spend it with my family in Kunming. I especially like the swimming pool and fitness center.

Stayed for three nights during our stay in Kunming. The hotel is conveniently located in the city with many sightseeing, shopping and f&b destinations in relative close proximity. The rooms are conveniently and comfortably designed and has all necessary amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet options were plentiful and we had a nice dinner in the hotel on the last evening. The entry (yunnan chicken soup) and main dish (softshell crab pasta)were delicious, was less of a fan of the tiramisu. The gym and swimming pool were great. Spacious with a lot of equipment. The best equipped gym on this trip. Swimming pool area was spacious and not crowded. Changing and locker room was also very well equipped. Very pleasant experience.

Kunming JEN Hotel and Shangri-La are housed in the same complex with lower floors (1-17F) being JEN. Shangri-La is located on 18F and above, but it is now undergoing renovation which should be ready by end 2025. The Tuodong Stadium (Exit D) subway station on line 3 is just outside the hotel, making travelling very convenient and easy. The rooms look refreshed and spacious with electric curtains control. A good feature is the cold/hot water dispenser machine in each room that provides unlimited drinking water supply at all times. The buffet breakfast is really fantastic, wish I could stay another day to indulge in it !! Front desk staff Hong Rui 洪瑞 was very helpful in assisting us about places to visit and restaurants to try out. Really appreciate her help to extend our check-out time as we had a late departure flight. Overall, this is one of the good hotels that I have stayed in the major cities of China. Will return to JEN when I visit Kunming again.
