Lilac Kumbakonam

Loved the stay! It was comfortable, hygienic, the staff was courteous and prompt. It is perfectly situated 10-15 mins from all major temples. We were a large group of 7 (with seniors and children)in 3 rooms. The hotel accommodated our request for adjacent rooms with connecting rooms. The food at the hotel was fantastic and so reasonably priced. Rooms are large and comfortable.

I am a seasoned international traveller in both India, Europe and U.S and i have to say this is the best hotel experience i have had. The rooms are new, clean, spacious with a comfortable bed, good amenities and art. Sure i have had these experiences elsewhere outside India but the thing that puts this experience above all is the customer service. The staff is the most accommodating and humble I have ever encountered. They catered to our every ask and believe me, we had a lot of picky requests in our family - 2 interconnecting rooms, room service for customized orders with no onion and garlic and mild spice, breakfast made to order since we didnt have many options that worked in the buffet, early lunch since we had to leave early - customized with phulka, tadka dal, yogurt rice and they even found a pickle we asked for. They did all this with a smile. Special shoutout to Chandru and Jagan. Wifi actually worked. Room has adjustable thermostats. No power outages while we stayed. The interconnecting rooms were sound proof (we even had music playing in one). As someone with OCD, i even checked the beds for bedbugs and felt comfortable using their sheets and not the ones i travel with. I didn't have to check the bathroom for snakes like i had to do elsewhere. Close to the Divyadesam temples we visited. They also provided meal to our car chauffeur. I hope they grow and expand to all other divyadesams too - i will find a lot of investors if they do so. Another applaudable thing is their conscious reduction of plastic. They only provide mineral water that we ordered in glass bottles.

I recently stayed lilac hotel and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the warm, inviting atmosphere—dim lighting, tasteful decor, and a comfortable yet stylish setting that made it feel both casual and special. The staff were friendly and attentive, greeting us with genuine smiles and taking the time to explain the menu in detail, which was a nice touch. The menu itself was creative, offering a blend of familiar dishes with unique twists which was cooked to perfection, with a balance of flavors that left me wanting more. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell a lot of thought went into each plate

We had a wonderful stay at Lilac Hotels Kumbakonam. The staff at the front desk, restaurant, everyone was helpful and friendly. Rooms were super clean and comfortable. The vegetarian restaurant was of exceptionally good quality. The thali is a must-try.

Great standards of room . Clean and spacious rooms.Good spread of breakfast, quite homely and tasty . Very courteous staff, Mr.Bhaskar , chief chef checked upon us each time .Shiva, Ajesh and Deena from front desk ,Karthik from Housekeeping ,Karuna , Chandru , Somu from restaurant- each one of them went out of their way to serve . It was a memorable stay .
