Coconut Lagoon Kumarakom- a CGH Earth Experience

Visit to Coconut Lagoon was a wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenic beauty , the lush green surroundings amidst the beautiful vast lake , ancient architectural Rooms with modern facilities and the heart touching Hospitality. Overall a new experience, thoroughly enjoyed. During such visits you come across certain persons who leave an everlasting impression upon you , and one such person was Mr Pratheesh, the Naturalist, a *** fully devoted and Dedicated with thoroughly versed with the environment and historical background. The private pool villas are one of the most spacious ones among the resorts in Kumarakom. The stay was for 3 nights and I must particularly mention the resort manager Tijo Thomas for taking special note and care of our needs and ensuring this stay is memorable. A big shout out to the restaurant manager Dinesh Gopinath for arranging such a wonderful buffet spread. He also made our stay special by arranging fruit platter to our room. The dishes at the seafood restaurant are totally amazing. Chef Manoj from the seafood restaurant personally met us and the star steward Thomas who did an exceptional job of catering to each and every requirements. We enjoyed our stay and this was only possible due to Mr Tijo Thomas's proactive response to our feedback provided at the time of arrival. Tijo mentioned that they would ensure our stay at CGH would be memorable and it indeed was. Thank you for the surprise welcome visit at our villa with the entire team and the cake given at the restaurant by you and your team. It was truly unexpected and we were pleasantly amazed at your responsiveness. We wish Tijo, Dinesh and the entire Coconut Lagoon team our very best.

Amazing and one of a kind experience. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Yoga and meditation session was out of the world experience, all thanks to the guruji. Chaaya amma exprience to room to scenic view to sunset cruise was soo good and calming Each and evry thing of this property was upto the expectation

One of the best experiences, from the boat ride to the property to the heartwarming hospitality of the whole team. Their unique experiences. From the chaya chechi on boat to the sunset cruise to the cultural performance to the early morning bird watch. It was a beautiful experience. Cannot go by, not mentioning Mr. Pradheesh the naturalist who gifted us a beautiful morning with lot of insights on the property and the best bird watching experience!

What an amazing stay I had at Coconut Lagoon! The property is so beautiful and peaceful. Our villa was wonderful with its outdoor bathroom and amazing bed. There is so much you can do and see on the property and off property or you can simply relax by the pool with a good book. The highlight of my trip though were the staff! Every person there went above and beyond! Thomas Tony worked in both restaurants and treated us like queens (or “the mamas” as he affectionately called my friend Susan and me). Two of the bartenders, Abdul and Roshi, made the best drinks and kept our bottle of wine iced and at the ready. Pratheesh who is a naturalist took us on the most amazing e bike tour through the village and through the countryside where we met a couple of local families and learned about the toddy making process and had a taste as well. He pointed out various species of birds ***** the way and told us so much about the area. Our few hours with him was one of the highlights of our 2 1/2 weeks in India. Above all these individuals and everyone there, too many to name, were so kind. I already miss them and their constant smiles and the lovely haven on the backwaters. I truly hope to go back!

Out of the world experience, truly inside the lap of nature . Mesmerising, beautiful, amazing staff.. gentle , polite , knowledgeable, warm , pleasant and alert . Must do … bird watching , sunset boat ride, off beat tour , clay craft , weaving , ayurveda massage… everything else they have to offer
