Isola di Cocco Ayurvedic Beach Resort

I really enjoyed my time in this resort while having a yoga retreat! It's great if you're looking for a place just to chill and relax without much of distraction. Dinners were a hit ! Very tasty Indian food with a good vitiate of vegetarian dishes. Breakfast is tasty too, but it doesn't change, so at some point it gets a little boring, but still good in taste. Stuff was very helpful and very nice, I think that the most memorable thing for me🥹❤️ Thank you Shalu, Sebastian, Sudeesh, David, Brashan, Rohit and co!

The most important thing ..... clean place. Good location and we travel everyday a lot from that place. Local food burning hot everywhere. Very kind local people. Great on sea restaurant near hotel. We didn't spent to much time in the hotel so shower and bed were very good :)

We traveled from Canada to the Isola di Coca resort specifically for Ayurvedic treatment. Our friends, who have been here three times, highly recommended it to us. We stayed for three weeks to undergo Panchakarma, one of the most ancient Indian body-cleansing and detoxification methods, proven effective over centuries. Our treatment began on the day we arrived with a consultation with two wonderful doctors, Dr. Reshmi and Dr. Vegi, who met with us daily, seven days a week. We could approach them with any concerns, and we received daily Ayurvedic treatments and medicines for both internal and external use. The doctors designed a detoxification program aimed at revitalizing our body, mind, and soul by eliminating toxins. This program included Ayurvedic herbal treatments, detoxification therapies, therapeutic yoga, an Ayurvedic diet, and wellness and lifestyle interventions. Each day, we enjoyed a rejuvenating Ayurvedic body massage, a two-and-a-half-hour, four-hand treatment, performed by highly professional and diligent massage therapists. All oils used in the treatments are produced right here on-site, using ancient methods over a wood flame. Meals were prepared in a special open kitchen at the Ayurvedic restaurant, with a full-board, vegetarian menu tailored to our body types and health needs. The chefs accommodated our individual preferences, and the waitstaff kindly explained the ingredients of each dish, showing us pictures of any unfamiliar plants, vegetables, or fruits. We swam in two beautiful pools and were consistently welcomed by friendly, attentive staff who were always ready to help. During our stay, we met fascinating people, many of whom had returned multiple times. Some had experienced remarkable improvements, such as 90% relief from chronic conditions like arthritis and rheumatism. Nestled amid lush green gardens, aromatic plantations, and serene water features, Isola di Coca is a tranquil, luxurious oasis, ideal for experiencing the beauty of nature in a divine setting. As a result of our stay, I lost 2 kilograms, and my husband lost 3. We returned home with improved health, renewed energy, and a commitment to a healthier lifestyle. Now, we practice yoga daily and look forward to returning for an even longer stay.

We stayed here for three days at the end of our trip - the seventh and final stop. The resort is set in a beautiful, lush and well-kept location and has an Ayurvedic hospital on site, where we both had a wonderful massage. The staff were all exceedingly helpful from the outset in providing us with a room that suited our specific needs and which was close to the main facilities. Our room was a good size with effective air-conditioning and plenty of storage and placement space. We both loved the private outdoor, open-to-the-sky shower and bathroom facility. The staff at the restaurant were exceedingly helpful and kind and there was a good range of dishes available at every meal. A breakfast a chef was on hand to make a fresh dosa or omelette. We must single out the lovely Selin at reception who dealt with all our requests in a warm, friendly and professional way. A thank you also to Aswathy who was always eager to help. It is worth asking about late checkout if you require it.

We reached the location at 4:30 PM on 28-March and requested for a boat trip during check-in but at 5 PM, we were told that due to high tide warning the public boats (public boats run by various union) were not available, we then went to the reception stating we saw boats with passengers, and we were told they were private boats. We had come to the resort from so far just to see the natural beauty of the backwaters. We were also told that boat service can be requested only before 4:45 PM (which we did at the time of check-in) or after 8 AM next day(it becomes quite warm in summer esp. at the beach). Later we realized that the all the public boats (run by the unions) were running as normal. Near the swimming pool (where they drop and pick up passengers), the boats were accepting passengers directly (with reduced rate as compared to what was mentioned by the resort management). The boat drivers even mentioned that they pick the guest till 5:30 PM and can pick up at 6AM as well(if requested directly with them earlier). The boat drivers were giving the service as usual on that day. We ended up just roaming around the hotel. We even met few people inside the resort who had mentioned that they took the boat service at 5:15 PM. Please also note that the bathroom/toilet/restroom in their heritage villa is open which is not mentioned in their website. The service from all other staffs were good except the reception manager. As the main purpose of the visit did not materialized, we were utterly disappointed by the unprofessional behaviour.

Very beautifully located by the dramatic Arabian Sea and mangroves a perfect place to rest and recover after long travels. Buffet breakfast and dinner was varied and plentiful. Rooms were beautifully cleaned daily by Bhindi who made us some lovely towel sculptures. Housekeeping supervisor Praveen was very attentive and we had lovely chats with him. The Ayurvedic hospital gave us super massages - unforgettable experience- so oily!!! We also had a Balinese massage at the spa which was delightfully energising and relaxing. Thank you to jobe who helped us select our treatment. Everyone is friendly. Sageeta at the front desk even helped me with making a payment. We were very happy with our stay. We loved taking an afternoon tuk tuk to poovar town for a coffee and look around and chat with shopkeepers. The birds and nature around the resort are lovely to watch too.
