I recently stayed at the Travelodge Hotel in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, and while the experience was generally okay, there were a few issues that affected my overall impression.
The hotel itself is fairly decent, with clean rooms and basic amenities that provide a comfortable stay. However, I was disappointed by the parking situation. The hotel advertises parking as part of the amenities, but when I arrived, I discovered that the parking was actually managed by a private owner. This meant an additional charge, and the parking area was quite a distance from the hotel. If you're walking, it's a bit of a hassle, and if you're driving, you have to take a large detour to reach the outdoor car park. The parking fee is charged per entry, which I found inconvenient for a hotel that promised parking availability.
Aside from the parking issue, the hotel is located in a convenient area near Chinatown, making it easy to explore local markets, restaurants, and attractions on foot. The staff was friendly, and the overall service was satisfactory, though nothing exceptional.
In summary, while the location and the hotel itself are decent, the parking situation was a significant inconvenience and impacted my overall experience. If you're driving, be prepared for the added hassle and costs.
