The hotel’s place is pretty nice, can see the wonderful ocean and sunset view when I stand in front of the window. I love the chair which is placed in front the window. The chair is comfortable, and can read a book or watch the TV or see the outside scene. The room is pretty great for me. There is a mini bar in the living room, they provide coffee machine there. I do really enjoy it!

Excellent location with friendly staffs, will definitely book here if coming to Kota Kinabalu again.

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. We were given rooms facing high wall. Should be more considerate as we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights! Anyway, breakfast selection was good.

We had a wondeful 3-night stay at Promenade Hotel in Kota Kinabalu during Ramadhan. The hotel thoughtfully provided Sahur in place of the usual breakfast, which we really appreciated. Its location is very convenient - just a short walk to numerous restaurants, cafes and the Centrepoint shopping complex. The staf were exceptionally warm and welcoming, always ready to assist whenever needed. Although the gym was closed and the swimming pool was relatively small, these were just minor aspects compared to the overall excellent experience.

Promenade Hotel is among the classic good (4*-5*) hotels in Kota Kinabalu. Classic also means it shows the signs of ageing, probably they will need to refurbish the rooms sooner or later. Others then that the check in was very efficient, they have like 4-5 counters, and nice staff with good English and some with Chinese speaking abilities. The breakfast was fine, selection decent. During our two night stay most of the guests were from South Korea. It's recommended to have your own car or use Grab, because it's a bit far from main tourist hubs. Just halfway between Gaya street and Imago. Afternoons, Evenings KK traffic can be very terrible, from Gaya st to Promenade hotel - normally 5-10 mins short drive took almost one hour, but that's not the hotels fault, but location can be a problem during busy hours.

Strategic location near airport , basement parking , walking distance to Oceanus waterfront mall. Good service. Cleanliness acceptable.

Location is good, the room is nice, however it is a waste to get the lounge access during Ramadhan where the timing is very limited.. renovation is ongoing for the gym, so thats a minus for me.. hopefully the gym is ready when im back again

Hotel is well-located.  Staff were welcoming and helpful in every interaction. Plenty of food, markets, malls within walking distance.  Bed was comfortable and the room clean, although the air conditioner fan was a bit noisy.  It is puzzling why many of the hotels in KK, including the Promenade, carpet their rooms when the environment is so humid.  Nice view of the ocean with beautiful sunset views.  Compliments to the bakers who made delicious bread and pastries for breakfast!  They were far above average for hotels in Malaysia.  Access to the pool was a bit awkward as the hotel was undergoing renovations and  required passing through a dank hallway and down several flights of stairs and then walking alongside the kitchen's outdoor grilling area.  More loungers are needed poolside.  The hotel gym was not available as it was part of ongoing renovations which were underway in various parts of this large hotel.  I did not hear construction noise during my stay while in the room.

Great location to stay for business trip. The hotel serve good and variety of breakfast. Clean room. I love this hotel.

During arrivals/ checking in time, the front desk does not so welcome or sense of friendly gesture. It’s too robotic.. The room was nice and clean the bed is comfortable too. The breakfast food was great and delicious especially the nasi lemak sambal! That was my highlight. We saw a waiter at the restaurant but doesn’t do the table cleaning.its so messy and we have to clean the table by ourselves. Please improve more with these customer services.

breakfast choices is better this time, especially the bread pudding.

Upgrade Room from superior to Deluxe twin and happy for that. Late check out until 1pm
