Ammos Luxury Resort

Just returned from a lovely relaxing stay at the Ammos. The room was clean and modern and the pool area spacious with plenty of sun beds. We always managed to find somewhere despite not being poolside at 9am! The food was good there was always something nice to eat. The location is beautiful and quiet . The mile walk along the coastal path to the nearest village was perfect for a daily stroll with wonderful views. We hired a car for a couple of days from the desk in the hotel which was excellent value. A few minor criticisms- the only English speaking tv channel was the news . Access to you tube or the ability to use your own Netflix would be better. More frequent linen changes - the towels were changed only once and the bed sheets were not changed for the week. For the price paid it was excellent value and we thoroughly enjoyed a week in the sun. Would recommend.

Ammos Resort is in a very remote area, wouldn't say a family location. The views to the sea were breathtaking . Lovely and quiet around the pool area. Plenty sunbeds, well spaced out. Hotel its self is well maintained, think maybe the renovations are not complete, just cosmetic more than anything. Rooms lovely bed comfortable. . No drawers for items of clothing just open shelving only one wardrobe sliding door so either all your hanging items are on display or clothing on shelving . Only 4 coat hangers in wardrobe. Staff are the friendliest people I've met Christina, Alex and Thalasis to name a few. Nothing is to much trouble. My only negative point is the Food. States American style buffet breakfast,usually pancakes etc didn't see any the entire week. The food for lunch and Dinner is so repetitive pork ,chicken and veal casseroles and NEVER HOT. Plenty salads but nothing to go with it like cold cuts (plenty on breakfast buffet) Only option I saw for children would be pasta and sauce or chips, yet again COLD. Sandwiches down at pool bar were out in the heat all day not good. The standard of food was very basic for a 4 Star Hotel. If you bring the food to a better,hotter standard this hotel would be amazing.

We have just returned from a week at The Ammo’s luxury resort. It is a small boutique hotel. Great service, fantastic staff, clean, quiet and truly a relaxing place to spend a week. The small village of Mastichari is a 20-30 minute walk along the beach path and definitely worth a visit. So is a ferry ride over to Kalymnos - 10€ and only 30 minutes. A special mention goes out to Peter in the spa. We booked a massage and as a therapist myself of over 23 years experience, this was the best hotel spa massage I have ever experienced. Do not be put off by the remote location, it serves to enhance its appeal.
