Zeus Hotel

We have just finished our second stay at this family run hotel - and we absolutely love it! Firstly, the hotel location is superb with a short walk to beautiful beaches, with lots of beachfront tavernas with sunbeds, food, drink etc. There is also two supermarkets within walking distance. We hired a quad bike to explore the quaint beaches / parts of the island which is definitely worth doing! The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are immaculately maintained likewise with the pool and bar area. And clear they are making continuous improvements and renovations. Breakfast is continental, including eggs, toast, cereal etc so more than adequate and there is the option to purchase hot options for breakfast with great options for snacks throughout the day. The family who run this hotel make you feel welcome to no end, and we couldn’t be more grateful to Nickolas, Kostas, Manos and the whole family who welcome us with open arms. This is a great hotel for couples / solo travellers as you can chat to lots of people if you want to as the bar area is very social, equally very family friendly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend and we will definitely be back soon!

This 2 star hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were made to feel so welcome. The good humour of Nikolas, Manus and Kostas is lively and entertaining in the bar during the evening. The atmosphere is very friendly and not at all cliquey. All areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean which is testament to the hard work of the whole family. Our room was great with a very comfortable bed, and daily fresh towels. The pool was bigger than we expected, with plenty of comfortable sun loungers around the pool. Breakfast is basic, but perfectly adequate. There is the option of paying for a cooked breakfast if you wish. We hired a car for 4 days through the hotel which was easy to organise and excellent value. Just got home from 5 nights at Hotel Zeus. From the minute we checked in, the family owned hotel was fantastic. One of the members was always on hand to assist. Continental Breakfast was simple but everything fresh and tasty. The bedroom was very pleasant, very comfy beds and it was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The pool was great, with comfy sunbeds and the pool bar served tasty meals throughout the day. We will definitely return for a longer break hopefully.

so here we go. Yes i am one of the annoying return customers but i definitley would not be if it wasn't such a great place. yes breakfast is basic, tomato, cucumber, ham, cheese, toast, bread, olives, boiled egg, cake and cereal or you can buy a breakfast should you want one. ITS A 2STAR HOTEL. the family and staff are all really friendly you will only find it clicky if you cant be bothered to join in and speak to people. we have made friends there and see them every year but we talk to everyone that we meet as people did to us when we first went here 10 years ago. comment about the food being rubbish at lunch time is ludicrous you obviously didn't eat there as the food at lunch is amazing, try the Greek salad with chicken. Sun loungers, maybe if you told the owners you were just popping out then they would not think you are going all day and not bother but as the season is now getting busy please consider others. IF YOU WANT 5 STAR PAY FOR IKOS ACROSS THE RD FOR 8 TIMES THE PRICE

We arrived late due to flight issues. We were warmly greated by manos. Who promptly checked us in and took us up to our rooms. The rooms have plenty of storage and a good quality double bed. They have been updated in recent years, looking at past reviews. Yes the showers are small but they serve the purpose. Once back downstairs we were asked if we would like food and it was ordered in for us. We had a few drinks, ate and went to bed. Great night's sleep but not every night was. This was due to other inconsiderate guests. (Im talking 3 am onwards). Banging/slamming doors, knocking on each door they passed! These were adults no children except a baby were present during our stay. And this is more a club 60's to 80s hotel, if you get my meaning. The hotel family can't be held responsible for this behaviour. Breakfast was limited, but we knew what was on offer when we booked. It clearly states what it is when you book. Sunbeds are reserved whether there are signs or not. On speaking to nicos and manos. The family have tried to stop this but people just don't care. Why do we become selfish while on holiday? The returning year after year guests were not treated any better than anyone else. Everyone is included in the conversations and the banter whilst in the bar. It's your choice to join in. Over all the hotel is beautiful, clean and the family are great. The area of kos is quiet and great for those who like water sports or just a beach. We may come back to zeus in years to come, but are currently looking for our next greek isle holiday 😀

The breakfast is just continental, you pay for a cooked breakfast. The continental is cheap cereal with warm milk, stale toast, tastes stodgy, a bit a ham or cheese aswell. Nothing special have it once and go no not again. The pool area is busy in the morning and later on quitens down. If you go for lunch in your room or in the tavernas just next to the hotel you will get in trouble for leaving your towel even if there is beds sitting empty with no towels and that's from Kostas the grumpy brother. Told us he was watching us which was a bit creepy, we've never had this behaviour from the hotels in Greece before. However if you have lunch their at the pool at a table and sit for hours buying drinks leaving your towel on a lounger for hours that's fine because your spending your money there. We did eat here for lunch and that's why we go out because the food is not edible. The rooms are in a long corridor and the door does not fit the frame big gap underneath. You hear doors banging, conversations, shouting, cleaners laughing and shouting at 6am. This is the first time where from day 1 I said I wouldn't return, never again. We have done cheap holidays and had the best of times, the hotel would have been fine if we didn't have the grumpy grim brother given us hasell for eating elsewhere. The guests can be very clique if they are regulars and when they leave towels nothing is said, because they come all the time and spend money. If you read this review before booking trust me I'm not the only one to have this experience book elsewhere. Nicholas is the only positive about this place. Whilst writing this review the hotel door in the hall got slammed so hard I jamp out my skin some holiday eh!
