Continental Palace

Clean hotel, beds a bit hard, no entertainment as listed in hotel description, drinks dearer in hotel but cheaper in snack bar, food awful and very limited, doesn’t cater for vegetarians. I’ve complained to rep and asked to be moved. hotel is more suited to over 60s 70s than younger. When you pay £800 each you expect decent food not this awful stuff here, if you’ve already booked to here change your hotel in TUI shop, been to see rep complained and asked to be moved.

This hotel was listed as a four star but definitely not! Let’s start with the restaurant, firstly great that it opened til 9.30 so arrived in time to eat BUT food was mediocre and buffet was lacking in anything substantial the meat was often too tough to eat and food choice was limited and strange mixes with dishes of Brussels sprouts alongside the usual chips which were fallen on by diners unable to find anything to eat! Replenishment was slow. I was unwell twice after eating. Three of waiting staff were lovely and hard working, one however was grubby and a space invader standing far too close and demanding payment for water whilst we were still eating so not good. He also got into the very small lift with us with a trolley standing on my foot! Poured our water splashing it all on the table. The kitchen porter spent his time oggling the young female guests very openly and quite Leary. The room was supposed to be a twin but had bunk beds in so felt crowded and was overlooking the laundry which meant being woken at 7am by them shouting! Cleaners good but sheets unchanged towels changed and a good size Outside bar and lounge bar staff in the main hard working and one in particular very smiley and nice. Entertainment was poor only two night a rock duo and a karaoke were good rest were room clearers. Pool excellent no saving sunbeds and plenty for everyone. Lounges inside quite tatty furniture with cat scratches. Snack bar staff excellent and snacks good and reasonably priced. Local area very few shops Nellys bar good but pricey. Close to sea just across a very busy road, no one slows down and bikes and scooters will mow you down! All in all not as good as expected have been to far better 3 star hotels would definitely not class this as four star

Great hotel for a reasonable price. Our twin room had a double bed and a single bed, fridge, hairdryer, balcony and a safe (for €20). Our room was immaculately clean. The breakfast had various options (cooked breakfast, meats, cheese, cereals, yoghurt, pancakes, cake and coffee). The staff were very helpful and friendly - especially the staff cleaning the rooms! The pool is a decent size and there’s plenty of sunbeds (even dotted around the green spaces for those wanting a bit more peace and quiet). The snack bar has a great menu with gyros for €4. I’ve been to Greece 4/5 times now and this hotel wasn’t flashy but equally wasn’t outdated like some places - it was classic Greek and we had a lovely time. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel because of the reasonable price! Nearby facilities include a local shop, some restaurants and bike hire - €5 for the day is great as Kos Town is a 20/30 minute walk away but super quick on a bike. Kos is covered in bike lanes so you can get around the town in no time. I’d recommend “Food and Mood” opposite the Hotel with a quiet small pebble beach next to it - they do nice brunch and it’s a great spot by the sea to relax and people watch. Also, go to the open air cinema on an evening (on the way into town). The films are in english and tickets were only €8 each - it was such a unique experience, 10/10.

We stayed here last week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our first room was not great with broken drawers,which weren’t fixed, lights which were fixed and overlooking the laundry, which was noisy at 5.30 in the morning. However after speaking with reception they changed our room to another one which was much better. The rooms are a little outdated but very clean. We had water problems with the hot water. All of the staff were lovely and work so hard with a big smile on their faces. We had B and B, food was good and plentiful, we ate out in the evenings. Snack bar was good with plenty of choice. The bar area is nice and plenty of choice of drinks. Pool was good and enjoyed the fact there wasn’t a scramble for sun beds, only a very few people saved their beds first thing. But even coming in the afternoon there were plenty. The beach which is pebbles was just across the road, take beach shoes for the sea, it would help getting in and out Thank you to all of the staff for their hard work. We had a great stay and location near Kos town was so very good and a short bus ride if you didn’t want to walk. Taxi from Kos town back to hotel approx €7

Absolutely lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly and nothing is a problem. The rooms are spotless clean the food was great the night time entertainment was really good, couldn't fault it. Great location as quiet but only a 20mins walk to kos town.

Just returned last night from a wonderful weeks stay at this lovely spotless hotel.Do not take any notice of bad reviews, they are not justified. Fantastic location,lovely staff and beautiful gardens.All on all a relaxing break with stunning weather,did not see one cloud sall week.The food from the snack bar by the pool is very good and reasonably priced.would definitely return.
