Camvillia Resort Messinia

We enjoyed our stay from the very first moment. An upgrade to a fantastic suite with a private pool was a lovely surprise and made the vacation even more perfect. The resort is beautifully situated above the sea, and from the lovely infinity pool and the magnificent dining terrace, you have a fantastic view. The staff is professional, very friendly, and helpful, although you should plan a little extra time for the meals. We had booked half board and could flexibly decide whether to take advantage of the offer for lunch or dinner. The menu offers plenty of options, and there is also a special daily offer in the evenings. The shuttle to the sea with the wonderful Peroulia Beach is super flexible and available at any time between 10-18. The stay and other services are very uncomplicated and sweetened our visit. If you have a rental car (or order a taxi), you can also take the opportunity for a short trip and explore the nice towns in the area.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our holiday. Very peaceful location, spectacular views. The hotel is on a hillside but there are golf buggies on call to ferry you to and from your room, very prompt and friendly service. There is also an as required shuttle service down to the beach until 6pm where there is a beach bar and 2 excellent restaurants. There is a small village outside the hotel gates which consists of a beautiful church, ice cream parlour, small shop and 2 tavernas. As mentioned the top taverna does not have a price list but prices are very reasonable. As a couple we had starters ,mains, wine and drinks for 45 Euros , very reasonable. We also ate in the hotel one night, the food was excellent and Adrian was very attentive as were all the staff. Very enjoyable, peaceful stay.

Our stay at camvillia was nothing short of outstanding. We stayed for 10 nights and for the first 4 we were upgraded to one of the best rooms they had as the one we booked wasn’t available yet which was fantastic. the entire resort had the most amazing views and most relaxing atmosphere. the staff was extremely professional and accommodating from the moment we got there until the end. majority of the rooms are scattered across the resort but the hotel offer a buggy (like a golf cart) to pick you up and drop you off from your room to the main part of the hotel as it’s quite a far walk. our second room (the one we booked) was the deluxe shared pool room and our room was recently built so the tv in our room was newer and came with netflix and other streaming services which was great for night time and was absolutely lovely too. We were half board in our booking and the breakfast was lovely everything very fresh and you can order fresh coffees and they were amazing, but what really stood out was the dinner provided, it wasn’t a buffet it was a proper restaurant with a proper menu and special starters and mains on every night. everything we ate was exceptional and again the waiting staff were very helpful and accommodating too. there is a shuttle bus which takes you to and from the beach if you want to go and if you want to go to koroni, kalamata or any surrounding area for more stuff to do you can ask the reception to book you a taxi. the taxi to koroni was 15€ one way and to kalamata was 55€ one way. the surrounding villages of the hotel we did struggle sometimes to think of things to do but it did not take away anything from our stay at camvillia. i could not recommend strongly enough that if you’re looking for a relaxing, chilled out holiday this is absolutely perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at the hotel’s restaurant. The menu offered a great variety of dishes, all beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the service was fast and professional. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that added real value to my stay.

Our second time staying at Camvillia and it still has the same wow factor as when we first visited. Excellent location, the most stunning views and such friendly welcoming staff. The moment we arrive we feel at home. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and well equipped toiletries in the bathroom. Some maintenance could be done (the toilet flush was hanging off and could be removed in room 316) One major complaint we had about our room was the air conditioning, it was not cooling our room down enough to combat the very high temperatures outside. Despite informing reception of this, we were advised that lowering the temperature would not make any difference. We unfortunately did suffer especially in the evening as the air conditioning would switch off during the night. I do not recall this being a complaint during our previous visit. Breakfast is very relaxed on the terrace with the wonderful views. Lovely to have Greek traditional breakfast options! We were half board and had an evening meal on the same terrace. There is a much better selection of food than last time we visited, with the daily specials option including different Greek dishes. The service was sometimes a little slow, but we cannot speak highly enough of the staff who are so friendly and accommodating. Finally a special mention to Gerry for the daily trips to and from the beach every day & the very lovely man behind the bar (sorry we never asked his name!) every night, who enjoyed us challenging him to a new cocktail every night!! They are both very valuable to your team and we hope to see them both there when we next visit. Thank you again Camvillia for another unforgettable stay! We have just returned from a weeks holiday here - it as amazing! We loved everything about it The staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble Our room was spotlessly clean which was also reflected throughout the resort. The bed was soooooo comfortable and huge ! Breakfast, which was enjoyable, plentiful and catered for everyone, was served on the restaurant balcony overlooking the stunning views - idyllic. The sandy beach, which is accessed via the resorts minibus driven by the ever cheerful Gerry, is well worth a visit with its comfortable sun beds and two beach bars We found it good value for money and can't wait to return
