Bennett Bay Inn

NOT Recommended. NOT, NOT, NOT. Our ‘suite’ at The Bennet Bay Inn was unclean, uncomfortable and unsafe. Hair and small black things on the sheets, filthy carpet, LOUD fan and LOUDER AC, bed and loveseat profoundly old, worn, uncomfortable and dirty, loud neighbors yelling profanities, uneven and sinking floor, open gaps at electric outlets, no privacy curtain on one set of windows, cold-non working hot tub, outside walls with gaping holes, hanging electrical wires. This place was gross and dangerous. We may have gotten what we paid for when looking to go “cheaper” but $153 was not cheap. Lovely view and nice check in were the only positives.

We came for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. Please don’t let the bad reviews keep you from checking this gem out. Full disclosure the reviews almost had us trying to find somewhere else to stay but I’m so glad we decided to give it a go. Yes it’s rustic and the rooms are dated (to be expected being the second oldest motel in Couer D’Alene) , however, the rooms are clean and quiet. Probably one of the only places I’ve stayed where I didn’t have a hard time falling asleep. The views are amazing and the couple who runs it are beautiful people. So friendly and accommodating. I’m fairly picky about where I’m staying and I would stay here 1000 times again. Private with a beautiful green space behind the rooms. There’s a fire pit, a waterfall feature, and a picnic table. We didn’t use the pool because we were out and about but it looks lovely. It’s about 10 minutes to town which was perfect for us. And pet friendly!

Most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Never again. DO NOT STAY THERE. Pool was ice cold, couldn't use it. Jacuzzi had stuff floating in it, couldn't use it. Room was discustiñg. Slept on top of covers.
