Hotel Graf Zeppelin

Location is good, about 8 minutes walk from train station. Breakfast is good, except the coffee. There is no air condition in the room and there was 30 degree C when I arrived that day. The room was completely hot, despite there is a fan in the room, not much help. Another drawback is my room was at 5th floor, the elevator is only up to 4th floor, so I need to go up the stairs to 5th floor with my suitcase. I will choose other hotel if I come again.

Das Hotel liegt sehr Zentral. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.Man konnte auch Sonderwünsche aus der Küche bestellen. Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen, etwas hellhörig und schlicht eingerichtet.

Gorgeous frescoes caught out attention while passing and we decided to seek a little refreshment within. A charming hostelry, staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. In what is a house with an eventful back-story. Back in 1874 it was launched as hostelry. Traversing a time as a business premises it latterly once again opened as a grand hotel.

Beautiful old historic hotel with lots of history. The staff are wonderful and will help you in any way they can. If you would like a kettle for your room you only have to ask at reception. It's in a lovely quiet area but just a few minutes walk to the main town area. Breakfast is outstanding and it has great choice and super fresh ingredients too, a pleasure to wake up to. Don't be put off by the old facade of the building because inside it has everything you would find in a modern hotel..

Ranking 1 is only because of great breakfast. My appartment is on „6th floor”. You can get to 4th floor by elevator, so 2 more floors you have to do on your foot. Extreamly hot in my room - my swiss chocolate melted during the night. Very small bathroom. I couldn’t sleep during the night. Unbearable during hot weather. The price is far too exoensive for accomodation quality.

We made a mistake in booking the Graf Zeppelin as it is not a hotel. We booked through *********** an "apartment" for one night to include breakfast for 159.30 euros. On arrival we were told it was on the fifth floor, but the lift only went to the fourth floor. We were not offered any help with our suitcases. We took the lift to the fourth floor and walked up to the fifth with our cases, to discover that the apartment is one floor higher....in other words 2 flights of stairs with your luggage. (Is this a hotel?) On climbing up to the apartment, there were many noticeable issues: the bedroom does not have a window!! It has a high up porthole with no curtain or way of blocking the light, but no window! The bed was almost on the floor. The room was not clean There was no aircon, and at the top of the building on a day when it was 33c this was no place to stay. We booked elsewhere, accepting that we would lose our money and the hotel tried to charge us in full for the booking. I pointed out that we would not be having breakfast and that should be deducted from the total and the receptionist reduced this by 12 euros to 147.30. Assuming the breakfast was going to be like everything else in this dump it was hardly a surprise. So our strong advice if staying in Konstanz is to give this hostel a wide berth......readers of our reviews will see that we have stayed at hotels across Europe and nowhere comes anywhere close to this place for awfulness.

Les chambres étaient très petites, la douche et le lavabo étaient bouchés, le mobilier très ancien, mais surtout ce qui m'a énormément dérangé est que je n'avais pas un balcon mais une terrasse commune donc les gens pouvaient rentrés dans ma chambre ! Donc, j'ai dû fermer la fenêtre de ma chambre pour dormir. INADMISSIBLE !
