Disappointingly unprofessional. Shabbily dressed, untrained staff. No harm staff doing multitasking but you need to train them for the work they need to perform. Restaurant is poorly kept, no good equipment, and service tools available. A small equipment like toaster was not there and bread served half toasted. The attendant does not know how to serve or help guests because the staff is untrained and unaware of the good practices for a Hotel & Restaurant.

The hotel was an awesome place to stay with family. The restaurant food was also good. Neatness and cleanliness maintained well. Suggest this place for stay at kodaikanal. Poor location. No scenery around. Garish black painted walls around. Slum like shops in the front. The photos in their website are fake and no space in front or back of the building. We were given room a level below the general ground and the room gave a congested feeling with no air entry. Food was ok. But very time lapsing after giving order. Linen change and room cleaning only after compulsion. Did not enjoy the stay at all.

We stayed at apple valley for a short duration. The room and bathroom were neat and hygienic. The facilities in the room are good with a hot-cold water dispenser, wardrobe, sofa, reading table etc. Lots of napthalene balls though, if you are allergic to the smell, please note. The location is in the city centre. If you need access to the bus stand this is a good choice. If you are looking for a peaceful resort with good views of the valley, you must go farther from the city. The dining area looked dark and cramped, and we did not feel like trying any food there. There are good veg-only options nearby for wholesome food.

Hotel is central to all tourist locations. Kodai lake near by 1. 5 km. Parking available. Staff hospitality is excellent. Housekeeping standards are excellent with spacious rooms. Food is average. We stayed 4 days and breakfast menu could be varied.
