These people should stop running this homestay as they are obviously so jaded and uncaring . The room was not fit for purpose - broken fan , no mosquito nets so it was impossible to sleep . But they didn’t care and tried to say somehow it was our fault for not shutting the windows in stifling heat. They were so uncaring and didn’t even apologise. I have never been treated so badly by a family owned guest house. It spoilt my trip and last days in India . On the second day they finallgot the fan fixed Complaining bitterly of the need to do so on a Sunday and trying blame it on me . Don’t stay at this guest house , they offered no food or drink and there is no 24 hour front desk as advertised. These people should be ashamed of the way they behave

We stayed there for 3 nights, we first booked that homestay based on the cleanliness of the washroom and rooms. But we have come across one of the most wonderful people(Sophia and Doyal). They have helped us with the most basic things as well. It's not a homestay, it's a stay in your home but in Cochin. Whatever we experienced can't be typed in words. Someone described even more beautifully, but we didnt believe that, but now we are also added in their register list :)......

It was a wonderful experience at jojie's.. we were a family of 5 .. i had a very short time with the host Doyal n Soffiya as i has to go back to drop my car to Trivandrum.. next morning went i met my family.. they were all relaxed n felt at home.. Honestly in one sentence i would say at jojie's homestay I felt as staying with my Brother's family.. we all left with a heavy heart.

Jojies homestay was amazing, the hosts were so polite and friendly. My friends and i came to Kerala for a trip, and Jojies homestay was our first stay. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was very very hygienic. My friend and i forgot our denim jackets there but the host Mrs. Sofia was very kind to parcel them back to our place. It's a perfect homestay for travellers. Don't forget to checkout their terrace!!

I really don’t like leaving low review scores for home stays, but I left here disappointed. The location of the homestay is good and the neighbourhood felt safe. But I received a frosty and transactional welcome, it didn’t feel like the owners were particularly hospitable. This was particularly the case when they promised to help with onward bookings and to follow up with me, but didn’t. It didn’t seem the owners were bothered to check on my comfort/well-being other than trying to convince me to stay longer over the new year. I understand it was Christmas but it would have been better to stay closed than leave the guests isolated. The room was very basic and tired, but acceptable at this price point. Tip to the owners: travellers looking for homestays tend to be looking to meet locals and have a warm, authentic experience without the frills. Please build connections with your guests.

Lage gut, zwischen Mattancherry und Fort Cochin. Das Zimmer war leider etwas schmutzig. Das Frühstück war formidabel. Die Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und äusserst hilfreich. Backwater Tagesausflug nahe bei Cochin mit Fischessen und Village-Besuch sehr empfehlenswert.
