Amazing, homely, caring, ever smiling, hosts. Beautiful property. Excellent care of guests. Charlotte guides the guests extremely well, and takes care to put the guests at ease. A big, clean, airy, property full of trees. One of the best maintained properties. they serve excellent breakfast in their home kitchen. Truly an amazing experience. Centrally located on Princess Street. Spotlessly clean. 150 year old property , their own home a part of which the Walton family have converted into a 6 room home stay.

Wow! This Home Stay on Princess Street is an amazing gem in Kochi. We are so happy we found it and wish we could have stayed longer. Mr Walton and his family are very special people and also amazing hosts. We loved everything about this home stay - the room was lovely, very comfortable and cosy with lots of character. The breakfast was amazing. The gardens are gorgeous and well cared for by Mrs Walton. The ambience is relaxed and tranquil. It was so nice to wake up to the sound of bird song in the mornings. Thank you Mr and Mrs Walton and Charlotte for everything. I felt very emotional when I left this morning. We hope to return one day.

This is what you want a Homestay experience to be. Very friendly family, charming family home and roots in the community, lovely gardens, very clean, always there to help with what you need, relaxing breakfast, and water and tea in the room. A/C worked great too. I really enjoyed meeting the Walton's and appreciated their hospitality.

This homestay is perfectly situated in Princess Sreet in the best location in Fort Kochi. We stayed for 3 nights in a very spacious and comfortable room. Charlotte was very helpful about places to visit and where to eat. It is in a charming old building with a peaceful courtyard garden. The only Indian item at breakfast is the masala omelette which we would recommend. We works stay there again if we returned to Fort Kochi.

Old house in a touristic region of Cochin. The house has many rooms to rent, with a garden in the middle. The room was acceptable, but nothing special, simple room , the bed comfortable, the breakfast simple but ok. There is not s refrigerator in the room nor in the house. So we had to drink the warm water offered by the house. So we bought the water from outside which became warm very quickly. Suggest to the house to put at lest one refrigerator in the veranda. Conclusion: nice house, simple, with the minimum necessary, the price is high for what you get. The house is well placed , if one wants to stay around this touristic location. Good cafe and restaurants around, the jewish town very close

We stay at Waltons for three nights, the perfect length for a first visit to Cochin. We arrived having flown from London via Doha. Unfortunately my baggage didn’t. As soon as we told Charlotte she took charge, so we could enjoy our stay ( with some new clothes’ purchased ) while she sorted out recovering my lost baggage. On the third day, due to much chasing by Charlotte, my bag was delivered. The location is perfect, in the center of the old town but quiet. The rooms are spotless. Plenty of good restaurants locally. When we arrived Charlotte gave us a map of local recommendations for eating and advice on the best ( cheapest ) way to get around. The garden is a joy, with lots of medicinal plant, which Charlotte will happily share her knowledge of. I would highly recommend Waltons and definitely stay there again if we visited Cochin in the future.

Wieder haben wir herrliche Tage in Cochin bei Waltons verbracht - seit wir vor vielen Jahren zum ersten Mal Cochin besuchten, kommen wir immer wieder, um in diesem herrlichen historischen Kolonialhaus dieser wunderbaren Familie Zeit zu verbringen. Der von Mrs. Walton im Hof angelegte Garten macht es zu einer echten Oase inmitten des Orts. Die Bibliothek des belesenen Mr. Walton, Tochter Charlotte, die immer mit Rat und Tat hilft … men will gar nicht mehr abreisen!

Im Dezember 2022 verbrachten wir, zum zweiten Mal, ein paar herrliche Tage bei der Familie Walton. Das Homestay liegt super zentral auf der Princesstreet im Zentrum von Fort Kochi. Dadurch, dass die Zimmer in den sehr schön gestalteten Innenhöfen liegen, ist eine ruhige Nacht gewährleistet. Das sehr gute und frisch zubereitete Frühstück gehört zu den Highlights des Tages. Hier trifft *** Reisende aus aller Welt. Die Familie ist gerne bei der Planung des Tages behilflich. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber (tägliche Reinigung) und authentisch. Das Homestay ist sehr zu empfehlen, besonders für Alleinreisende und Indienneulinge. Gerne wieder.

Je suis resté dans cette guest house une dizaine de jours. L'accueil de Mr. Walton, de son épouse et de sa fille a été charmant. Ils sont gentils, dévoués et attentionnés. Leur grande guest house est très bien entretenue et très confortable, avec un superbe jardin. Elle est aussi très bien située, au coeur de Fort Kochi, a proximité du port et des restaurants.
