Thai Island Dream Estate

We were disappointed by our stay - no AC in the living areas, very basic furniture, cleaners only came once during our week long stay and staff really not that helpful. We were moved once because of the smell of sewage in our villa, and then had to move again because Rey made a mistake with dates.

A few years ago we stayed in the 3 bedroom beach front villa with a poll which was excellent. This time with just the two of us we tried the apartments. A very nice two storey building of 10 two bedroom apartments. Set back with approximately 30 metres of garden to the beach with a good size 25 metre pool. The apartments are a good size, lounge/kitchen, both bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, the master front view being larger and better appointed. Outside furniture for eating and even a large outside spa bath but this didn't look as if it had been used for some time. As an apartment breakfast is either visiting one of the beach restaurants a few hundred metres away or self catering, and the shop with sufficient choice is just across the road. Cereals, breads, milk, no alcohol in the one shop by next door does. So beachfront, comfortable, fridge, tv, a/c in the bedrooms, WiFi. Not particularly expensive, in fact cost effective for families with children. And there lays one drawback. You could have noisy families, or two families, or people staying here inviting friends around for the lovely pool, or even people walking up off the beach to do the same. While no fence or planting allows a lovely view, it leaves the property open to the beach. There is no security to stop such things happening. We weren't too troubled by such things but it seemed rather carefree of management to give no consideration to such matters.

This is a fantastic beach front location in the middle part of Koh Lanta. Walking distance to good restaurants and one of the best cafe's on the Island Full-Fill. Ray was the most excellent host, efficient and nothing was a problem. She had a good understanding of English, and her recommendations from beauty spas to restaurants, cars to walks and cooking schools were outstanding. Ray is worth her weight in gold to have around she absolutely made our stay on Koh Lanta so much better. You really felt she was genuinely wanting you to have the best experience, not only at the resort but on Koh Lanta as well. The only reason we didn't give this stay an excellent is our apartment (BA B1) was a little tired with some things not working their best. But it was nice and private on the upper floor which suited us. We did move downstairs for the last night due a leak problem from torrential rain and that apartment had been done up, so much nicer finished. If there was anything not right Ray was very quick to fix or change though.

This villa is excellent. Great value, lovely view, right on the beach. Rooms are comfortable. Plenty of facilities. We could not have asked for more. The host, Ray, is so helpful and made our stay so easy. She helped us book taxisD made outstanding restaurant recommendations and even welcomed us with breakfast. We will come back.

20 steps from a gorgeous quiet beach. Small private pool, sun beds and a nice garden and seating area under a gazebo. The location is fantastic and really would be hard to beat, however there are a few things to be aware of. The main thing (especially if you have small children) is that the villa is not all one building but several small ones that do not connect - one is the kitchen/lounge which is very hot due to no aircon (fans only), and then the three bedrooms are all separate buildings. Great if you’re a group of adults/older children but not practical if you have young children. The property does back onto the road so you do get a bit of road noise, especially in the bedroom nearest the road, but nothing too bad. The bedrooms only have very thin floaty curtains (no blackouts) which I wouldn’t have minded but at night with the light on you could see straight through them so anyone walking along the beach could see straight in. The place is starting to look a bit worn in places (nothing major and nothing that effected our stay). However the location is second to none - we loved staying right on the beach with excellent bars and restaurants within an easy 10 minute stroll directly along the beach and for this reason we would happily return.

Ray is a perfect host. She took care of us and saw not only to our comfort and needs but also had very good ideas and suggestions. We stayed first in the apartment and then in the Villa. However the apartment needs some renovation. The hotel premises is perfect as it overlooks the sea.

Perfect location, stroll along the beach to the restaurants and bars. Lovely massage place at the end of the garden and great pool. Lady called Ray who worked there was very helpful and organised brand new scooters for us, competitive transfers and great value trips. She is really helpful and any issues just let her know and she sorts them immediately! Just ask for her upon arrival but she will no doubt meet you upon arrival!

This is our 4th stay at Thai Dream Estate, previously we have stayed in the pool and beach villas. This time we went for the ground floor 2 bedroom apartment. We would have no hesitation at booking this again. You have a fantastic sea view from the terrace and the pool. We actually had the pool to ourselves for the week. Ray the manager is so helpful. You can contact her prior to arrival through the chat function and when you arrive through Whats app. She arranged all our transfers, very competitively priced, laundry plus taxis to and from old town. Can recommend Mr Leks at the Lanta Paragon for sunset drinks and dinner. Also the massage on the beach is fantastic. It’s worth a trip to Old Town for lunch, great restaurants and amazing views.

Superbe séjour, Les photos de l établissement correspondent à la réalité. Nous avons loué une villa plage juste incroyable, la piscine, la plage à 30 mètres, un coucher de soleil magnifique. Rien à redire, le personnel et sa manager Ray sont très réactifs. Je recommande pour le farniente.
