This juxtaposition of the tech sector against a rural community where electricity is still not used in many homes makes this community very interesting to visitors. The St. Jacob's Farmers Market and the Kitchener Downtown Market on Saturdays are wonderful places to buy local produce, both fresh and cured meats and delicious baked goods..
