Atlantica Mare Village Paphos

We had a wonderful 7 night stay at this beautiful hotel checking out the day before it closed for the season. The hotel not only enabled us to relax and recharge but it provided lots of options to keep our 8 year old entertained too. Here's a summary of our thoughts - Rooms Gorgeous and very comfortable! Well worth paying a little extra to benefit from a sea view (the sunsets are amazing here!) and we all thought that our shower was 'the best shower ever'! Our room was visited by housekeeping daily with fresh towels. Food & Drink We're a foodie family and were so impressed with the quality of the food, both in the buffet restaurant and in the a la carte's The Taverna and Green & Grill. Fresh, tasty with lots of options. We were also impressed by all of the snack bars/cafe's too who served great lunch options if you didn't fancy leaving the pool areas or if you wanted to grab an iced coffee. Drinks were fully local brands and if the hotel could improve anywhere it would be here. Wine, beer and cocktails were fine but we've had better choice included at other AI hotels. Facilities/Entertainment Brilliant! Our son LOVED the splash park which is suitable for a wide variety of ages and the pools were great (if a little cold). Water polo/volley ball, football, table tennis and the tennis courts were all taken advantage of. We also loved walking down to the taverna bar by the sea for a dip down there. Evening entertainment was typical 'holiday park' entertainment but fun. Bingo, quizzes, tribute acts and vocal artists etc. I'm going to back up other reviews by saying that the real stars of this hotel are it's staff. They are all so happy and smiley (even at the end of a very long season!) and can't do enough to help, a team of beautiful people who made us sad to leave!

We stayed in the English October school holidays for 1 week, and the weather was perfect! High 20's throughout the day, and still warm at night. The hotel is lovely! The various all inclusive bars and restaurants are fantastic, and the staff can't do enough. Be warned though, the pools are freezing! We had a swim up room, but we could never use the pool because of how cold the water was. None of the swim up rooms seem to be being enjoyed. The splash park looks great, and you can imagine spending a full day there or around one of the other pools, but the water was so cold you couldn't enjoy them. This even goes for the indoor pool and jacuzzi, absolutely freezing and not enjoyable at all to use. That said, the hotel was immaculate, the food and drink was lovely, and the staff were great. The spa services, although quite pricey are excellent. I had the best deep tissue massage of my life from a qualified physio massage specialist called Panos. Absolutely incredible. Genuinely fixed all my aches and pains in an hour! For day trips we visited the old town and the harbour, both of which I'd recommend.
