A great wee guest house in Kirkwall close to local restaurants and tourist spots. Fyona and Colin are great hosts who are friendly and happy to chat and tell you about these amazing islands, the beds are comfy and it's a very quiet area. We are already talking about going back up and will rebook back at Karrawa if it's available

Fiona (and Colin) were brilliant, thoughtful hosts. The breakfasts are fresh and cooked to order, along with a wide selection of cereals and juices. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a big closet for hanging up rain-dampened clothes. It’s a 20-minute walk to the centre of Kirkwall, or a 6£ cab ride if you’re coming back from the pubs. Lovely, quiet, and very good value, with ample parking on the property.

By far the best stay on our recent trip to Scotland. We had a two night stay at the Karrawa Guest House and it was such a good experience, we were really sorry to leave. The overall quality was by far the best among our various stops on a two week trip through Scotland and Orkney. The breakfast room was amazingly good! The family who runs this guest house were kind and accommodating and really made us look forward to another trip to Orkney.

Coziest, nicest hotel of our whole holiday! Beautifully decorated rooms, extremely clean, modern and spacious bathrooms. What was most memorable was the sweet, caring and most attentive staff. And the breakfast was just exceptional!!

One of the best places we stayed in throughout our trip to Scotland. Our host Fiona was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was fabulous, very comfortable with every detail thought about. Very quiet location. Superb breakfasts. About a 15 minute walk into Kirkwall town centre. Highly recommend

This was excellent accommodation and couldn’t fault. Cleanliness 100% Beds very comfortable. Very helpful and friendly. Breakfast also excellent. There was no problems leaving our luggage on departure which we appreciated as the ferry was not departing until 11pm. I could definitely recommend. We didn’t have a car but bus stop at the door.

Fiona was a delightful and very helpful host. Lovely room and breakfast plenty of information on Orkney attractions. Comfy beds, good shower and spacious room. Would happily stay again. Nice walk down to Inganess Bay and then along the burn to circle back round to Kirkwall.

This is a delightful guesthouse with a very nice breakfast. Tried haggis for the first time- nicely prepared!!! Excellent host, super friendly and attentive. Room was very clean and spacious enough. If we return to Orkney again would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!!

My daughter and I had a wonderful three night stay here. The rooms are immaculate and the breakfasts freshly cooked and delicious. Especially the mushrooms yum yum!!! Fyona made us so welcome and helped us feel right at home. Thanks so much.
