A bit far from the city center and the hotel address in google map is not correct. The room is very small and looks old. But for a night's sleep, we found it's ok. Hotel provides electrical kettles, coffee/tea bags and water for free.

Basic rooms, nothing fancy but comfortable. Like a college dorm room. No TV. I wish there was a hot tub to soak in after a long day, and also a dryer. Even with waterproof everything, clothes were damp. The restaurant was good. Nice selection. The fish was very fresh. Typical Icelandic prices. Nothing else around so you are kindof stuck Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great place to see Northern Lights, no light pollution

Clean and spacious rooms with no tv. Windows can open for air with heater in room. No frills stay. Shower was strong but small sink area. Bring own entertainment if necessary. Food at the on site restaurant was decent with standard breakfast buffet spread

the location looks perfect for northern lights. also the sky and the forecast were excellent, but finally nothing has been seen. the room is a bit small, no tv in the rooms, but in the middle of nowhere not so important. the service and the food are very good

Was perfect for a clean, no-frills stay. Spacious tripple room in hotel part (not separate cabin. Everything was clean and there was friendly staff. Restaurant was good with regular Iceland prices. Located on a working farm with sheep and building equipment around.

Nice clean place to stay in Iceland amongst incredible natural beauty. We had a triple room which was perfect for a stay. You will spend most of your time outdoors so this hotel fits the need adequately and staff is friendly! Decent food as well and prices typical of Iceland.

This was our third trip in Iceland and after many accomodations at different leveys this hotel is our worst experience so far. So over-priced with no vslue fir the money at all. We stayed in one 4-cabin dated hut and it was terrible. No noise insulation, you can hear your neighbour snoring. Cheapest plastic sheets covering the walls, the ceiling and the bath room with strong chemical smell. Breakfast was under average. Overall strange athmosphere there and it seemed that the owner or the staff couldn't care less.

Comfy bed and staff was very helpful, even though I had a late check in. Place was quiet and remote. Breakfast was delicious!

Stayed for two nights with the Arctic Adventures tour group. It snowed for the duration but the rooms were always warm at all times of the day. All fixtures and facilities were modern and I couldn't fault the cleanliness and upkeep at all. Don't worry about the location outside of the main town as meals are all available for a reasonable cost. The only two tiny things I'd suggest would be to have all signs in more than one language. Even if hardly any native Icelanders use the hotel, we should be reminded that we're in their country. Secondly, the breakfast yogurt was fairly thin. If this was real skyr or at least a thicker better quality that would be a nice touch.

This hotel covered all the basic needs. The bed was very good and confortable. Breakfast was very basic but good enough for us. We were not expecting any luxury as we understand this type of hotels are located in very remote locations. Iceland is beautiful and we were looking in a hotel to have a repairing night sleep and this hotel id good enough for that.

We spent 3 nights at Adventure Hotel Garland while we were exploring the south central part of Iceland. The hotel was clean and comfortable for us - family of 3 (2 adults and one teenager). We really appreciated the full buffet breakfast every morning before we ventured out. We had dinner at the hotel one of the night. The food was good but the meals were small and pricey so we found a more casual restaurant nearby the other two nights. The hotel is conveniently located - there was a restaurant, gas station, and convenience store nearby. Lots of sights to see within 1-1.5 hours west an east of the hotel. We were also lucky enough to see the northern lights our last night at the hotel!
