So impressed with everything about this lodge! Stayed here the night before our gorilla trek and adored it. The service was outstanding - Joshua, other Joshua and the rest of the team were so warm and accommodating. They brought out a lovely cake and put on such a fantastic little birthday performance for my mom's 60th, it was so special and really added to our already memorable stay here!! The food was stellar, the rooms were wonderful and the location was amazing. My only regret is that our time here was too short!!

I write this review with extremely fond memories of our two-night stay. The lodge is comfortable and relaxing, and the staff goes out of its way to look after your every need - even before you arrive. Joshua and team were extremely considerate and welcoming, and really knew how to make you feel at home. I was particularly grateful for how Joshua realised that I was nursing a sore back, and took extra care to find me just the right cushions to support it without me even having to ask. The food was consistently hot, delicious, and (very!) generous, and they even cooked us - on request - a traditional Ugandan meal on our first night. (Beef stew, rice and beans - a real treat.) An avocado starter in particular really sticks in my mind - easily the best of its kind I've ever eaten. To top it all off, the owner, Richard, is very friendly and approachable. We got chatting and learned that he was a park ranger for many years prior to setting up the lodge, and so he was able to give us some superbly accurate information about the various sectors in the park and some good tips for the treks. A thank you to all for your kindness and attention.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and the location is ideal for mountain gorilla trekking only 5 min away. The room was spacious with a lovely shower and comfortable bed. Excellent food, and we did enjoy the free all day coffee and tea. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at Buhoma Gorilla Camp. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and varied, our room was well equipped, lovely and clean, the employees were courteous, competent and super friendly. We felt at home and hope, we will come back.

We spent two nights at Buhoma Gorilla Camp and wished we had a chance to stay longer. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The accommodation is lovely and very comfortable. The staff looked after us so well especially, Teddy, Talent, Joshua, Junior and Titus. The food was fantastic but be prepared to loosen your pants as there was a lot of it. With only a short drive to the Gorilla experience, it was the perfect place to stay.

Buhoma gorilla camp is a family owned and operated lodge located just outside Bwindi impenetrable forest. Just off the main road this camp consists of private cottages nestled in a forest setting where you can hear wild birds and streams as you walk to and from their restaurant. The food we enjoyed at the camp was delicious and the staff always made sure that we were well fed and all of our needs were met. To go further into the staff we dealt primarily with Joshua (general concierge) and Teddy (housekeeper and free laundry) and were blown away with the kindness and care these two provided us. An emergency came up with our tour guide and the lodge owner (Richard) came to the rescue and took us to the gorilla trek and communicated with our company the whole day to make sure we did not miss anything on our itinerary. They genuinely made us feel like family and we would recommend this stay to anyone visiting the gorillas of Bwindi. Ask for the cultural walk around town with a guide named Salvan, you will not regret the experience of getting to know the locals and how they live on a day to day basis.

We've come back to Italy a couple of weeks ago. Our stay at Buhoma Gorilla Camp was one of a kind, we were a couple with our son. You can see it has been planned and built by someone very knowledgeable about nature and sustainable tourism, when you are in your lodge you feel like you are in the jungle, there's also a nice stream you can enjoy the relaxing sound of. everything has been built respecting the style of the country, great wood everywhere. The staff also has been chosen carefully, you see a great team working together, friendly among them and with the guests. Everybody has been kind, anticipating our wishes, and helpful. Buhoam Gorilla Lodge is also very conveniently located. Uganda is an amazing country, and safe to travel to, but the extra help and needed suggestions you can get from Richard, the super kind and fun to be with owner, make your journey smooth besides unique.

We really loved the place. Located at only two kilometers from one of the entrances of the Bwindi National Park, it's clearly a perfect place to approach all the activities within this unique park. The lodge is composed by few beautiful cottages immersed in the forest. We were surrounded by greenery and the sound of birds and the flowing water in the tiny river passing underneath our family room. The service was excellent: Richard and his team were super nice and kind, also extremely helpful solving the issues we had with other companies, they made us feel part of a family. This place will remain in our hearts and I really recommend it to anybody wishing to spend few days in exploring this wonderful region and meet the gorillas. You feel the real Africa, in the middle of the forest, and the lodges are wooden made and eco-friendly. I can strongly recommend this place where we hope to soon be back

Loved this hotel so much! The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and fun and the accommodations were so lovely. They added touches like adding a bed warmer and spraying for mosquitoes before bed. I would 10/10 recommend. Our only regrets was only staying for one night!
