Coast Norfolk Island

Cam here many years ago with my mother here with my daughter when it was Ponderosa. It is such a beautiful setting with a lovely spacious comfortable 2 bedroom unit , wth internet access and a pool and a lovely garden room with BBQ’s. A car is necessary to make the most of your stay, with all the opportunities of guided tours, and self drive options, swimming and snorkelling, surfing, birdwatching , great walks and the history of the brutal convict past and that of the mutineers is graphically on display and told.

A great place to chill out for a week. The room was good, peaceful and quiet with horses in the paddock near the front door. Not far from town and services, a car is essential on Norfolk Island to get around between the pot holes but now better than 20 years ago. Staff good but no reception or office but one soon gets the lay out of the place. Would come back again.

We had a choice of near the centre of town or out a bit - we chose the latter. The cost was a bit less but we liked the look of it on the internet. It was very clean and very comfortable. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We were picked up at the Airport by a shuttle bus and delivered to the door where our car was waiting for us. We took our own basic breakfast and ate out and did a couple of takeaways for a couple of meals. Eating out was very easy and we believe very cost effective. we did a mixture of tour dinners and restaurants. The apartments were quiet. beautiful rural views with a good glimpse of the ocean. We would certainly make this our first choice if we were going back again

Choosing to stay at Rahooloo Cottage at Coast was a winner! So comfy and spacious, with 2 King Beds and everything needed for a memorable stay. The kitchen and laundry gave us some independence and the cottage was clean and well maintained. The view from the front verandah was spectacular and we made great use of the table and chairs out there. Coast is a 3 minute drive from Burnt Pine and so a car is just about a must - we used Car-Beat-it and they were awesome. There is free wifi at the gazebo and there was even a mobile phone left for us to make local calls for bookings etc. Raewyn and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, making this a most enjoyable holiday for us. Can thoroughly recommend COAST NORFOLK ISLAND.

Just returned from our second visit to Norfolk and on both occasions we have stayed at The Coast in a one bedroom apartment. Fantastic views and high quality apartments in a very secluded location. We even had a dishwasher!! The staff are fantastic and the facilities in the apartments and the surrounds are second to none. I would recommend anyone who wants to have a great holiday on Norfolk to stay at The Coast and you will not be dissappointed

This was an amazing place to stay, 3k from town, magnificent views Raewyn could not do enough for us. Great walks and drives. Will be back, so much not done. The history of the people and the area was magnificent. A hidden gem
