Checked in for two nights and went to our room. The temperature gauge read as 24°. I understand completely now that there is no air conditioning at this hotel but that being said, the fan provided by Premier Inn was not enough to cool the room down and was just blowing hot air around. We thought still in April, it wouldn’t be as hot as it was. The room was not cleaned that well either and the attention to detail was lacking. In our disgust, we knew this as we found a few items and a dirty mug from the previous guests!! Unfortunately, we had the worst night sleep ever at this premises due to the heat that we decided to check out and spend more money to go to another local hotel. The Reception Team member was really helpful and helped in reimbursing the second night for us (thank you to him - no name badge but he looked to be within management). The main reason for my review is the lack of professionalism shown from two members of the Housekeeper Team stood in Reception whilst overhearing my complaint. One jokingly said “oh no, no air conditioning, no bar!”, maybe spend your time being more thorough within the hotel rooms, rather than listening in to things that do not concern you. After the refund was actioned, we headed to the car park, got in the car and had our windows down, we were a few spaces down from the entrance to the hotel. All we could hear was the housekeepers in question and said “manager” discussing this complaint, which can I add is fine but one housekeeper was that loud mouthed that we heard everything that was said and felt like they were being judgemental when they probably have never slept there to know!! Also smoking out the front whilst in uniform looks to be unprofessional. Make sure to take these things into consideration when booking this establishment.
